what song are you listening to?

mamatutu

mama to two
I'm not listening to it

But I have Gangam Style stuck in a loop in my head

And I had an almost 4 yr old running around today singing about a sexy lady

Ugh

Fox had a video tonight of a youngin' doing gangam style. I couldn't find it, but this is similar, and thought of you from your post. I don't necessarily agree with the original ganham style guy's politics, but it is pretty funny, and the kid has talent! Maybe, your baby is destined for stardom!

Routinely Derailed
In a CD Mood

In a CD mood this morning, so I let Alanis Morrisette chew my butt all the way to work ("Jagged Little Pill" CD). She abuses me with more class and intelligence than :wench: ever did. Blasted it, volume way up, all the way to work.

Aww, feeling a tad bit bitter, today? You're a grown man so take responsibilty for your life choices. :wench:

Listening to DMB radio on Pandora. :yay:

I've always liked some of their music, Ants Marching being the first one, way back, that made me sit up and listen but, far too many mellow songs for my attention span.

Well, Lori is a big fan so, naturally, I hear more and more of them and have grown to really appreciate the musicianship and style of the band. They have this way of building their tension and release that, in some songs, is just enormous and others like Shake me that just flat out rock.

Dave has this amazing, quirky, funky way about him and Carter is a stunning drummer. I love anything with horns and the rest of the band, man, they just all find a groove and meld it together.

Agree 100%. I think I still have the Under the Table and Dreaming cassette.

Crash was a great album also.

Plus, they put on a hell of a concert.

This past concert at Hershey Park, they had Kool and the Gang as the opening act.

Lo is dying to go see them. I'm just not sure how I will hold up for a 3 hour show!!! Is there a nap intermission?

Don't they play that long?

It's definitely a long show, but it didn't feel like it.

I don't recall actually how long it was though.

Gov't Mule with Dana Fuchs as Grace Slick. Not a bad cover by either Gov't Mule or Fuchs.

This one is reportedly from 1931. I think the version I heard on Pandora a little while ago is an even earlier version, but that's only based on the static in the recording.

I discovered the Memphis Jug Band last year, i think it was. Good stuff, but you're hyper-offended by the "N" word, don't listen.

Listen carefully to the lyrics.

Last night my gal went to bed,
She put a pistol under my head,
I said, “Move that thing. (Keep on a–movin’)
You’ve got to move that thing.
If you want me to sleep here tonight,
You’ve got to move that thing.”
