What's for dinner?

I'm making cabbage soup to honor the rainy chilly day.

FYI, it cost me $18 to make a pot of soup that last year cost me $10. Let's Go Brandon!
I always break the cost down to how many meals I get out of it...makes it somewhat less painful. But yeah, it's still not good.

I think I'm making chili tonight so I don't have to cook tomorrow.

Low and slow smoked burgers and marinated chicken breast grilled and mopped in BBQ then smoked.

I could make four dinners out of that. I was raised by parents that were born at the beginning of the Great Depression. I was taught well. If anything goes to waste in my house, I would have to go to therapy. My great grandmother used to make snow cones from getting snow out of the kitchen window. No flavorings. God bless the USA.

I bought some "chork pops" today and don't know what to do with them. Did your concoction turn out well?
As per stgislander, I added Worcestershire sauce to the cream of mushroom soup plus added fresh mushrooms. Seared chops and baked. It really was delicious and a change of menu for me and my husband. We are both sick of the 'same old, same old' things we tend to cook. Plus it warmed the kitchen up :)
