Yep.From 1993, a Kathy Bates movie "Home of our Own". Not really a Christmas movie (though part of the movie is at Christmas)
Great movie!
Die HardAnd don't say "Die Hard"
Mine is probably Miracle on 3th Street, the original with little Natalie Wood. Or maybe Meet Me in St. Louis, which isn't really a Christmas movie but they play it at Christmas so it counts.

Die Hard IS a Christmas movie and is my favorite!

Agreed. By that measure though, my favorite really ISN'T a Christmas movie either - "It's a Wondeful Life" - because Christmas has very little to do with the story - it just happens to be Christmas at the end. But I agree - A Christmas Story, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas - without Christmas, there's no story. Home Alone - not so much.If it were, Christmas would be essential to the plot. It is not. The robbery and the events to follow could take place any time of the year. Substitute Christmas with any other type of corporate gathering.
Speaking of which.... did you know that one of the elves in Elf was actually Peter Billingsley, ie Ralphie from 'A Christmas Story'?
Something I just learned about A Christmas Story, the bullies name wasn't Scott, it was Scut. Who the hell is named Scut?Speaking of which.... did you know that one of the elves in Elf was actually Peter Billingsley, ie Ralphie from 'A Christmas Story'?

A Christmas Story, saw it in the theater when it came out, I was in 4th grade I think.
Honorable mention Bad Santa.
Yep, I'm 50. Saw it at an old fashioned single screen theater that had a balcony.Huh. When I saw this post I thought, dang, he's a youngster. Then I looked it up and that movie came out in 1983. I didn't see it until the late 90s, early 2000s and it's stuck in my mind that that's when it came out.
