When Ordering a Burger...

No seasoning indicated on the menu. I would believe it would be safe to assume that there wouldn't be any.

I've worked at a few restaurants and do not remember any of them listing seasoning to meat on the menu. When I go out to eat, I expect the meat to be seasoned. Otherwise, why would their meat be any different than any other place? If you want unseasoned meat then you should just tell the waiter/waitress that. Unseasoned meat is not a normal restaurant standard.

I will add that they did, however, describe the type of meat they used in their burgers. It didn't make sense that they would go to those lengths to describe this wonderful meat, then not describe how they'd be ruining it.

Seriously? How many restaurants have you seen that actually list what types of seasons that they use on their meat? How many restaurants have you been to that actually serve unseasoned meat?

Doesn't Red Robin have real hamburgers, no harsh seasoning?

I've been there two or three times. I was not thrilled with their burgers. Then again, I put Old Bay on mine at home if I'm grilling beef or bear patties. If I'm using Bambi or turkey, I put salsa on them. :yum:

Well whatever. People want what they want, but it is assumed that any meal in a restaurant will be seasoned in some capacity unless you clearly specify otherwise.

And then you will probably get floor spice

Maybe I've just never had one that was so over seasoned that it should have been in the description, because I can think of only one other time when I have questioned it, because the meat tasted like beef, not like an envelope of Hidden Valley salad dressing mix.

Salt and pepper, but nothing else. Especially not Ranch dressing.

And Five Guys?

No, Red Robin has their own burger seasoning that they use. It contains salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, and some other stuff. They sell it by the bottle at their restaurants.

I will suggest that mAlice isn't complaining about a seasoned burger, she is complaining about an *overly* seasoned burger that overwhelmed the meat instead of enhancing it.
