My husband is a hunter and a avid fisherman. We have a large gun safe where he keeps his guns.
The funny thing is that my son did not even take his own scouting knife, or anything from my husband. We were working at my parents house on their log cabin and he took a folding knife from there. One that my mom and I had bought at Lowes to sharpen our pencils!

Update
Everything will be decided tomorrow. We meet with Juvinille Services in the morning. Since my son is only 13 and has never been in trouble, they said they will most likely drop the charge. They will be giving him a "project" to do over the summer.
We meet with the school board in the afternoon. Hopefully things go as well. :Crossing fingers:

And in conclusion....
Juvinille Services: Charges dropped. Agreement between son and JS to do a project over the summer.
School Board: Will not be expelled. Will not serve last 6 days of suspension at the beginning of 9th grade. He will be placed in a special group at school for 1 semester. Depending on progress, he will be placed back in regular classes 2nd semester. Will provide school board with copy of JS project. Will begin counseling and discuss issues such as decision making and bullying etc.
So in a nut shell. I think they were very fair and we made out much better than it could have been.
