Why are the schoold closed today?!?!?!

Why shut down for the whole day? The roads are clear, they have been since 8am. Why not open 2 hours late? Good thing I didn't have to work today! This is the second unecessary "snow" day of the school calendar. It just burns me up.

Thats the thing, THE ROADS WERE CLEAR!!! You see one flake and its "OH MY GOD SHUT DOWN THE COUNTY!!!" Come on, are you that afraid of snow? What ever happend to 2 hours late? Now I'm looking at my yard, looking at the patches of mud and snow because its ALL MELTING! The roads are dry. I have a good idea, lets shut down the schools when it rains too! EXCELLENT!

Where do you live? Because when I left my house at 6am this morning. They were horrible. Yeah sure great they cleaned off now its 1230 by the way, so i guess the school's should have closed until all the roads were clear?

The southern part of the county got a lot more snow then the northern half, so just because you are clear doesn't mean the back roads are ready

And everything south of Lexington Park got more snow and Ice. So how do we get those kids out and to school?

We have been known to close school for a rain day now and then. Now pipe down, your kids are home and safe, not riding around on slick icy roads.
