Why I have no desire to leave the United States

Power with Control
Did the Blue Lagoon soak during a blizzard. Way before the place became famous. How I wish I had a digital camera back then.
This would have been about 1989, so it was a tiny hotel ran by a family. Maybe 10 rooms or so.

Cancun bar drugs college girls on vacation
They begin vomiting and seizing
Hospital won't even look at them until paid $10k cash upfront

Chuck Berry said it best: anything you want we got it right here in the USA.

Not sure what the attraction is to vacations in third world countries filled with violent drug cartels and no oversight, and PS you don't even speak the language for when there's a problem. There is nothing any country has that we don't have right here, AND we have clean grocery stores AND we have sanitation measures AND we have toilets that flush AND we have modern hospital facilities AND we don't see you as a target to rob and rape (except for Democrat cities - those, you might as well be in New Delhi or Juarez).

Seriously, why? Why would any American leave the US?

I totally agree about cruises, one and done for me too. Mexico however is a different story, love to go there. been there about 30 times for fishing. it's great being able to catch 100lb. fish and sometimes bigger within sight of your hotel for 1/3 the price of the U.S.! I spent weeks in Mexico during Covid, one of the best decisions I've ever made, they didn't close down anything.

I want to marry a girl just like the girl that married dear, old dad?
I bristled so much at this - idea - that I was determined to one day marry someone precisely the opposite of Mom.
Mom's a brunette? Date blondes. Mom's short? Only tall women. And so on.

That lasted rather briefly. Well my wife actually IS tall, but it just happened that way.
Ok, and brunette. BUT she has blue eyes, unlike Mom's.

Driving from St Mary's to Montana was great. So much gorgeous country to see, and we'd pull off anywhere we took a fancy to.

Every American should do that at least once in their life.
My sister and her S/O drove from Clinton to Alaska! She sent pics along the way and did what you did, stopped wherever they wanted. The pics were amazing!

I know you're not that old, and neither am I, but I'm into all sorts of music.

PS: I never had children of my own because I was always afraid of becoming my father. In fact, I never dated until I was in my 40s (1996) because one thing would lead to another, and I'd end up with children - and becoming my father.

I was 44 when I got married. She was 10 years old than me, had two girls who were in the process of moving out of her house as I was moving in.

My own mother was so emotionally distant that I didn't really know her when I was a kid, and we were estranged for more than 50 years. I spoke to her once in all that time, over the phone. She's gone now, and I don't really even care.

Were you a forty-year-old virgin? From what you post I would say that you are one of the most normal folks on this site, if you overcame all of that I wonder what excuses St Marys, chopican and hemi have?
