Why is the bridge still open?!

the winds were worse yesterday and it just required a little more paying attention while crossing the bridge; today I seen (2) 18-wheelers this morning going extremely fast crossing the solomons bridge heading towards st. marys-all i could think was "i sure wouldn't want to be the car in front of them"

I agree. Been driving the bridge for 10+ years, and never heard of them shutting it down. Christ, the Bay Bridge is higher. Also, I never heard of the incident you were talking about. And I drove it in a Convertible for 5 years, no problems. Never got blown off the bridge. :coffee:

They have closed the 301 bridge a few times due to high winds
