Why is the bridge still open?!

the winds were worse yesterday and it just required a little more paying attention while crossing the bridge; today I seen (2) 18-wheelers this morning going extremely fast crossing the solomons bridge heading towards st. marys-all i could think was "i sure wouldn't want to be the car in front of them"

I agree. Been driving the bridge for 10+ years, and never heard of them shutting it down. Christ, the Bay Bridge is higher. Also, I never heard of the incident you were talking about. And I drove it in a Convertible for 5 years, no problems. Never got blown off the bridge.

They have closed the 301 bridge a few times due to high winds

Sorry, I get a little carried away sometimes at the lack of driving skilss on the roads these days. Everybody wants to drive, but very few are willing to learn more than to point and stomp on the "go" button.
