mandr96, ignore these hardened locals. The wind is crazy and that poor excuse for a bridge is four million stories high with highway dividers as walls. It was obviously built by a bunch of drunk men. I pee my panties every time I cross that biatch.

My pregnant daughter came across the Solomon's bridge earlier on her way home from work and the truck in front of her almost blew off!!! The truck hit the wall and the top was hanging over until it hit one of the new safety poles and blew back the other way. The evidence and damage is there, and I can not believe they have not closed that bridge today!!! Isn't there a wind limit for bridges in Maryland?
Calvert County's SHA garage has jurisdiction over the Rt. 4 bridge. It is not closed unless there are sustained winds of 50 mph or more. Today we had gusts exceeding that, but sustained winds were 30 to 35 mph.
It is going to be windy tomorrow too. Maybe she should take the hughesville bridge.
