Space Chick, I have lived in Spyglass for over three years. It is an older place, but still in great condition. They are pet friendly, has a great beach, tennis court, and pool. The big plus for me, was it was just out of main town far enough, and very very quiet! Just for your info from another that lives in Spyglass.
Sockgirl, I don't know how you can figure a house is cheaper to buy. If you can afford a house for 200,000 (if you can find one for that is a good neighborhood) you monthly for just the house is over $1100, then you have to factor in insurance and taxes! That is more than my $1000 apartment. Plus I don't have to replace any appliances, or pay to get an A/C unit or heater fixed. Granted I won't have anything to show for my money when I am ready to move.
