that is called a garden spider....it spins a web strong enough to catch a bird, however it also spins a squiggly line in it's web to detour said birdNickel said:I do.We get lots of spiders in the spring, ours are usually random brown ones. We had a banana spider (I think that's what it was) in our backyard last year, it built a big web and just kinda hung out. It was huge!I don't know how long they live, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again this year.
Edit to add that I googled banana spider, and ours wasn't a banana spider. Whatever it was, Dustin said it was harmless, and it was big with a little yellow squiggly on it's back.
