The previous owner has gone to a retirement home and it's my understanding the kids are desperate to sell the house to pay for the retirement. I said if he could go lower on the house I'd personally bake cookies and bring them to the retirement home every day of my life if needed!!! I just really like this place, it's advertised as livable but a fixer upper -- which from where I am now I have plenty of experience and am accustomed at this point to living under those conditions.
I have prequalified and have my handy-dandy prequalification letter already and am set to write up a contract on this house in a few hours!!!! I'm soo excited... I thank the Lord first and all of y'all prayers, and prayers from family and friends. I certainly couldn't have done it without it. And thanks for tolerating the pi*ssn' and moaning and pity parties...Once I get the place fixed up enough I will certainly hold a forum party. Again, thanks soo much for tolerating me the past year and half and letting me vent.
I think I am finally on my way to restarting my life and have been blessed at a second chance of home ownership in the area. Also, this place is on 2.5 acres and allows animals because its not a subdivision too!!! Please continue the prayers and well wishes coming my way. God Bless all of y'all, each and everyone of y'all have helped me tolerate such a bleak time in my life.
Also, thanks to Vrai too for being such a positive person and one who can proove to us all that if you want something bad enough... preserverance and alot of hard work and you will get what you go after. Thanks for the influence and being such a can-do person

Dems, a lot of those web sites aren't updated as fast as the market is moving these days. Do you have a realtor? If you do, then they should be able to help you find a house, otherwise, you're going to find the same thing will keep happening to you. If not, you might have to go with "for sale by owner" houses.dems4me said:house not available and it's not listed on MRIS as not availble...

Is that the fixer-upper where all you need to do is clean up a little dried blood?willie said:There's a double wide available on RT4 across from Bj's.

Correction. Misscommunication between me and the missus.Dymphna said:Dems, I know of a couple of houses that might suit you.
One is near the Food Lion in Charlotte Hall. I haven't seen it personally, but I have a friend who works for the realtor. The price has just been dropped because it's been on the market so long. As I understand, it's not a bad house it's just got some 70s decor and needs major redecorating.
Also, Huntr says there's a house on 6 acres near Golden Beach (with water rights) for $279K. It just went on the market.
That site has the most out of date information on listings! I used it when I was househunting 3.5 years ago and every time I saw something on it, and asked the realtor, they'd say "that went to settlement 3 weeks ago" or "it's sold/off the market/etc.".James White said:Dems,If you want up to date ,property info, exactly what the real estate agents use try this.

I didn't know there was anything worth more than 100K in Golden Beach.huntr1 said:It is off Golden Beach Rd., just past the "Golden Beach" sign. It has water access rights to Golden Beach. It has been on the market a couple months. Dropped the price about 2 weeks ago 15K to $279K. Needs a lot of interior updating, but you can't beat the price.
