You won't be in today for work because....

-I have never ever missed a day of work, but, everyone else seems to be ill on sunny 85 degree days and then come in the next day with a sunburn, soooo, since my sick days have piled up, I need to use some or lose them.
So, now its my turn.....

-When you dont want to go to the office, or where ever, what do you use as an excuse? And, what do you do when your off ?

I have a close relationship with my boss. When I wanted off for the Tiki opening, I told her. She just said: "Have fun!" However, I don't think it's anyone's business WHY you want off if you're given the time.

If I'm sick, I say I'm sick. If I just want to take a day off, I tell the boss "all my work is done, I'm taking a mental health day".

If they say no and want to know why, will you quit your job and try and get it back later?

I tell them I won't be coming in - usually for something I DO actually get, like back pain.

THEN I make sure I correct my timesheet when I get in, because my timekeeper ALWAYS MARKS ALL TIME OFF as annual leave, no matter what I tell her ahead of time.

And it's not that she's on to me - it's just incompetence.

It's easier for me to just call if I'm coming in.

Does she have bad feet, a bad perm and a dog?
