not only that but... sometimes the appointment is in the middle of the day, for me its just not worth the couple hours commute time to get here, to put in a cuople hours and then take off and trek a couple of hours back. :shrug: Ideally, I shoot for the earliest appt. or latest appt, but doesn't everyone else?...

Most of the people I work with lives close enough to work to only take part of a day off. It's just for us schmucks who commute long distance.

Same here, or I get asked alot - why not just use my doctor 4 blocks down... they can't grasp that if I'm really sick I don't feel like spending a few hours just to get to the drs. office and a few hours back..I'd much rather have my drs. and my dentist close to home.

Got a weird look from my boss the next day when I came in with a new perm though. , but I justed smiled and proceeded to my desk.
