My friend just called me up hysterical because her ex got engaged.

She was with him for 4 or 5 years or something and now she is married to someone else with 3 kids.

I told her my opinion. I said that she is married to someone else and shouldn't be worried about what her ex is doing... They have been broken up for 5 years and she is MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE.

Needless to say she is pissed and me and accused me of being incompassionate.

If you were any kind of decent friend, you'd know she was expecting you to help denounce him. Then, after awhile, she'd hear how dumb you sound, then, how dumb she sounds, then, she'd be over it.

On the other hand, if she was any kind of a friend, she'd know you aren't the sisterhood hand holder type who would get what she needed at the moment and would have wasted someone elses time with this crap.

On the other hand, maybe she could go gun down his fiance and you could all end up on Springer???

Did you make that up? That sounds made up. I just can't imagine anyone being that stupid or crazy. I guess there are people out there like that. If she's mad at you for that, then she probably wasn't a friend in the first place.

Definitely not made up I have known her for 10 years and I usually comfort her when #### happens but in this case, I dont think she is thinking clearly. What would her husband think if he knew she was butthurt like that?

She isn't answering my texts now either.

Stop trying to contact her! You said your piece and I'm sure you used tact where you really should have busted out laughing and called her a kook to her face! The more you try to make it better for her the more you become just as much a kook! Geez, you are your own worst enemy!

And another thing, women, if you break up with a guy and he says he wants to remain friends because he'll always consider you to be one of his best friends you need to ask yourself, "Self, would it be okay for him to call me up and chat about the next P.O.A. he happens to be dating?" If the answer is no than you are no longer friends so you really do need to cut the ties and move on.

Your friend was under the false impression that she dumped him because he wasn't the marrying kind. The fact that someone else turned him in to the "marrying kind" has her all wrung up with the "why not me?" "what did she do so different" and all of that other immature insecure crap people go through.
