The funny thing is, I easily remember in the 60's and 70's, stock characters in movies and TV where some nutjob was seeing a commie in every corner and shadow.
I recall a song that made FUN of it - by using Santa Claus - because he wore *red*. And had long hair and a beard. Yep, he was a hippie commie.
WE thought these characters were FUNNY. Because they were so freaking paranoid.
Just a couple decades ago - the Dems were more or less SUPPORTIVE of Soviet style communism.
It was only two election cycles ago, Obama himself ridiculed Romney about Russia.
Now - they see Russians on every street corner. You're in collusion if you talk to a Russian or speak with the same Russians they spoke to.
It's creepy.
And it's not working for them. Maybe they've gone in so deep, they actually believe all this stuff. But polls - even ones that don't favor Trump -
show that Americans have very little interest in Russian "collusion". They want answers - but they want it resolved and they are not
worried about Russians wrecking their life.
