$Gas$

Know what did I do last week? Yep. I rationally bought the first load of the season, 7,000 freaking gallons, in consideration of recent global threats and the coming fall. It's likely to go up said the tea leaves. By now or bemoan latter.

So.........................................#$$#^$%&^@!#$%&^%$(!#$#$^&%@$)

...It's dropped $.20 a gallon BECAUSE I bought a load. That's $1,400 people.

POOF. Up in smoke, as it were. Gone. Global warming spikes from my FOREHEAD, right now.

...I'm sure you'll cry me a river, but, that's one of the things about small business; a competitor may have bought THIS week, so, I can't just go up and down.

Market forces and all.

Nope, not even a creek.

Have you noticed an upswing in prices over the last year because of fuel cost?

A Gas Price War you say...

Es Posible!

It started (for me) with the Charlotte Hall and Mechanicsville WaWa's. I couldn't understand why they were so much more cheaper than the ones in Lex Pk and Cali. At the time (last weekend of July) it was $2.86 in Mechanicsville and $2.87 in Charlotte Hall while in California, MD and further south it was $2.93.

No sooner than I had taken notice the prices began dropping. This will be the second weekend for the drops. From $2.93 on Aug 10th to $2.62 Aug 18th. It could very well be a war and I am playing into it very well.

I almost hit the median crossing from far right lane on 235 to far left lane to cut over to the WaWa only to realize I had just filled up on GM Road for $2.87 and 235 WaWa was $2.83. Seeing that price I only remembered that I needed gas not that I had gotten some about 10mins ago. :dork:

Not sure why the prices are dropping, then again I was never sure as to why they were raising...

Just wish I could believe that it would stay this way.

I am certain we're all about to get screwed (even more so) on prices soon.
