I remember when I got my first car 1997. Amoco was $0.99 a gallon.

Also, this just in (for conversation) WaWa went up to $2.58 yesterday. Right after I got my gas for $2.55. I saved the historic receipt.

I win! :yahoo:

From what I saw the only Wawa that had gas at $2.55 was the one on 235 across from CVS. All the rest were at $2.59.

9/11 - Never Forget!
Not looking for any sympathy, but I spent most of the last three weeks pulling my camper trailer up and down the west coast of the island of Newfoundland and was paying $1.26 (CDN) per liter for gasoline. With the currently lousy exchange rate and the metric to english conversion that's right at $5.00 USD per gallon. I saw quite a few fill-ups that were over $100. Was glad to drive off of the ship back in Nova Scotia and "only" pay about $4.50 per gallon. Was really glad to get back to La Plata and pay "only" $2.85 per gallon at the Safeway on Tuesday evening.
Over 4200 miles at about 13.5 miles per gallon!

That's a trip I've been thinking about. Did you stop by the Bay of Fundy? Would you recommend the trip? I wouldn't be pulling a trailor, just staying in motels. :howdy:

:lmao: My step brother is Canadian. When I mention "free" health care, he gets all worked up and rants about their income tax rates. Then he gets going on waiting to see a specialist, etc. :lmao:

Not a bad drop for 6 weeks, it's now at $2.05, but has recently risen. Here's an analysis.
"Whatever you want to call it - speculators, fast money, hot money - a big part of the drop in crude that we've seen this year is because of selling by hedge funds," says Merrill Lynch technical analyst Mary Ann Bartels.link
