If you want to play a quote game I can find any number of baseless and out of context quotes in the bible.
I already found a couple that advocate both slavery and the purging of infidels, and if you'd like to continue this stupid and pointless game I will play for a time.

I mean, is slavery ok?
I see what you're doing, and I'm sure you think you're being very clever by pulling up all these quotes and everything, but the fact of the matter remains that there are many things of this nature in the christian bible too.
Both books, when used as a basis for living the good life, are rife with contradiction and should be taken with a grain (more like a silo full) of salt.

It was a fact of life in that culture, and people would sell themselves off as slaves to pay debts, being a bond servant in that culture was not the same as being a slave in the US or England. Even being forced into slavery by the Egyptians was bad, but not the same. But God delivered his own people into the hands of Pharaoh for their disobedience. It's a perfect example where God used a bad person for his purpose; he also delivered his people out of Egypt. Sin can be forgiven, but always has its consequences. God does not want us to follow blindly. He wants us to think and make good decisions.
