My man's in the military and funny enough it took him a year to get me on a date because he is military, until one night he said, "you aren't going to date me because of the job you so admire me for doing?" Then I gave him a second thought and 3 1/2 years later I wouldn't have it any other way. Of course I had reservations about dating a military person for all the reasons already posted and then some, but one day you'll find a person who throws caution to the wind. Just don't screw that person over!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I guess you need to find yourself a woman from Missouri! lol... You are tossing a double edge sword. There are stereotypes about the military dating. Then single people in the military have this stereotype of the area around the bases. Have a beer and work on where your career will take you next. How long have you had this job?

I prefer military/prior military over men who've never served. There's just something different about a military guy. :shrug: But then again I'm biased since my husband is prior military. 
I feel bad for military guys, especially Navy, most marry women who can't be left alone for long periods of time without becoming ho queens. I remember a particular bar my husband and I used to frequent that was totally dead until the ships pulled out, then it was jam packed with slutty, horn dogging Navy wives.
