I can tell you a couple of reasons why some reason don't like military men, espeically Navy.

1. The saying one in every port, dur..*SOME* military guys have a girl in every port even if they are married. I know what goes on during cruise stays on cruise, unless you happen to being home a creepy crawly std to your wife, then you got some explaining to do.

2. The dirnking, the sterotype of navy guys is heavy drinkers.

My hubby was former Navy, and he was a major partier back then, would come into shift hung over ask heck.

I also work with military guys, and that attitude has something to do with it also.

Now the good part about military guys is that once you weed through the cheaters and heavy drinkers, there are some very nice guys in the military who are respectful of women and others.

Just be patient, maybe you need to not meet a woman in a bar. Do volunteer work, there is tons of organizations that need volunteers.

Couldn't the same be said for any other group of men? Once you weed through the cheaters, drinkers, wife beaters, stoners, etc; It's kind of narrow minded to lay all that on the military. I don't care where you're trolling, you still have to weed out the losers. Maybe the people who are so down on the military people should try looking in a local watering hole for a partner.

Thank you. Some girls are only after a military guy for a paycheck and benefits (my cousin is one of them...). They, just like any other group of guys, have their share of losers. Use a little judgement when dating someone and you should be alright.

Uh yeah it could, but he was asking about military. I am not down on military men. And my hubsand is former Navy so that tells you that I am far from narrow minded.

And my point is that military men are no different than other men. If you took my statement personally, that's your problem. I was just running with the discussion.
