Couldn't have been. They don't fly. They are only used to train Maintainers for other programs.

Got a holographic image of one in the air tonite. We change the BUNO's so people think there is more than one flier!!!!

We must be hallucinating together. I saw it this afternoon, when I was leaving work around 9:30, and it just flew over my house. :jameo:

My evil plan to populate the air with holograms that look like aircraft so that it looks like we work on base is working!!!!

I need to work on the panic stop up and down my road. I got into the bad habit of not using my back brake. I am making sure I use that all the time. I had to slam on both brakes recently and was amazed what that does. :jameo: I had never had to brake that fast,, but slowly let the back brake off, and came out fine. It was scary for a moment.
Integrated ABS...

I have linked brakes- step on the back and get some front left disc, too. Works well, but I use both brakes all the time anyway, so its pretty transparent to me. ABS is great, but a street rider should learn to use the regular front and rear brakes to their best advantage first, like mean old Dad making the kid learn a manuel shift before an automatic transmission.

Ah, the mean old Dad would be me

I saw your holographic Osprey on my way home from work tonight. Very realistic. If I didn't know better I'd think it was real! Good job!

Servo assisted, semi integrated ABS...

Back brake is just the back brake.. clamp on the front brake and you get both front and back. One finger on the front brake lever can give 100% braking, and you stop QUICK!!

I don't care one way or another about bikers (or even crotch rocketers :jet:). Shoot, I even avoid tossing my cigarette butt out the window when one is behind me.

However.

It annoys me to see these little whiner bikes (and it's ALWAYS a little whiner bike, never a Harley or other big bike) whizzing past me at 90mph, whipping in and out of traffic, giving people a heart failure because one second the lane was clear and literally the next there's some punk on a neon green bike directly beside you who ignored the signal that you were going to change lanes.

If they get killed, that's their problem. And I don't feel sorry for them one little bit.

Amen - Darwinism @ its best ........

This wasn't some teen who needs to be protected:
If a 37 year old man wants to drive stupid and get himself dead, why should we stop him? Do you really think a graduated license would help?

Graduated licenses make sense forr teens in cars. Not for adults on bikes. If people want to ride too fast without helmets, let them. It cleans the gene pool.

Helmet laws suck ...... that said 100 + on a windy road = stupidy

I'm curious about the rationale behind tiered licensing. Any 250cc street bike can kill you JUST as dead as a liter bike can.

its the mentality of that 1000R or a C6 Vette

are you more likely to twist the speedo and Tach Needles to the max in

A. 1995 ZR1, Ninja 1000R, 74 Chevy PU w/454, 80 Ford Bronco w/460

or

B. 1980 Chevette, Suzuki 100cc, Suzuki RM 250 Dirt Bike, 1969 VW Beetle

Having the power can give one a certain mindset FYI I have owned the 74 Chevy, 80 Bronco, Chevette, RM 250 and many beetles .....

Chevy PU - I chased 911's with that ..... the Bronco w/33" tires would go over 100 ..... the Chevette was maxed @ 85 ..... :eyebrow: the RM250 would do about 75 on the street top end with the Sprockets I had on it .... and VW Beetles will crusie the interstate nicely @ 75 - 80 all day long with an occational burst to 90 down hill ....... I even ran my 87 Jeep Grand Wagoneer after putting an Edlebrock Airgap Intake and 4bbl carb over 100 between Bryans Rd and Accokeek on several Occasions .......

My point is if you have the power it is nice to feel the power or why else have it ... but there is a time and place for everything

twisty curvy backs roads are not .........

The simple answer is that all motorcycles need to be banned! Outlaw them! Thousands are dying because of motorcycle accidents, so ban them all.

That's the logic the gun-controllers use, why not apply it here also????

:sarcasm: (I used to ride also...)

Yup, and even more people are killed by the mistakes doctors make every year. Lets ban doctors too while we're at it!!!

I wonder if anyone has done stats on types of bikes involved in accidents. Just wondering how Cruisers, Sport bike, and Touring bike would stack up.

Google on the Hurt Report (yes, I know). It breaks down motorcycle stats in several ways, but it is dated. I've heard another study is underway, should make for interesting reading.

if they are ever to get peoples attention they are going to have to make penalties for harming motorcyclist more severe. in cali where lane splitting is legal to allow motorcyclist to bypass congestion, they have had to charge people who open their doors infront of motorcycles with attempted murder.
