Bottom line.. it was an accident..
And every single one of us on a bike knows the risks.. knows it's OUR responsibility to make it home safe everyday.
Hopefully you know to think like EVERYONE is out to get you, and EVERYONE is trying to kill you.. and hopefully we all make it home safe everyday.
Like mountain climbing.. skydiving and any other sport, it all comes with risk, and when you turn the key on the bike, you the rider have accepted those risks.
I hope nobody ever pulls out in front of me but I NEVER assume someone isn't..
Agreed.
I bailed from my bike into a mountain side because someone cut me off. Head first into that sucker going 50.
To this day I don't know how I survived. My helmet split. Fractured my patella, femur, radius, and ulna...
Decided to get back in the saddle once I was healed.
And I kid you not - the very first ride out - an old man pulled in front of me. After I got done yelling at him I sold my bike the very same day...
