I was thinking it was the intersection just east of that shot, since that's the road mentioned in the article.
No, it said Priest Bridge Center, not Priest Bridge Drive.

GFY. Get back to me when you see me doing any of the above.
Nobody automatically assumed anything except you. Your parents must be real proud that the shallow end of the gene pool produced someone that walks upright!
Oh, for cryin' out loud. If daddy was that concerned about not being there for his family he should have kept his ass off the motorcycle. Anyone who rides a bike has to know the odds are against them every time they get on one.
GFY, no Go F Yourself! You are the one trying to make excuses for a KILLER. You are the one who can't comprehend a very simple article in a newspaper, which probably means you are too effing stupid to comprehend a roadsign as well.
mAlice "I don't like that anytime a bike gets hit everyone automatically assumes the other driver was at fault."

Plus your reading comprehension skills are absolutely non-existent...
Look, I like bikes just as much as the next person and personally want one BUT you have to assume some risk when you get on one. She should be charged with failure to yield, not manslaughter nor negligent driving as the article says nothing of her being negligent. Chances are had the man been in a car he's have had a better chance of survival and this would be nothing more than a local fender bender not even making the news. It was an ACCIDENT, let's not crucify the lady.
She said she didn't "see" him. Typical response. People don't "see" motorcycles because they aren't "looking" for them.
I'll see about 30 on my 7 mile ride home today, plus the folks that don't know how to use their turn signalsGFY. Get back to me when you see me doing any of the above.
My next mod will be a headlight modulatorit can be easy to not see a bike.
Gotta wonder if she heard him.
She did not yield right of way, and did not see an oncoming vehicle. Those two items show she was negligent.
If he had been on 4 wheels and died, would all of you still be saying "Well, he chose to drive on the roads, he has to assume some of the risk"?
How about this, slap her hand, no jail time, no monetary fine, just tatoo her forehead with the phrase "I killed a man because I wasn't paying atention"?

You've never, ever had a close call or a fender bender that was your fault? For the record, I haven't but I won't assume that I'm above it either. People make mistakes. I'd rather the jails be filled with real criminals.
She did not see an oncoming vehicle and thus did not yield the right of way. Your words there... Negligent would be seeing the vehicle and "trying to make it". So your assumption there just favored her in that she did not see it. This whole point is mute because neither you nor I was in the car.
Go back and read sugar, I said she SHOULD be punished just not crucified.

Impacted the left front fender, ejected from the motorcycle.. than what? What was he wearing that may have prevented his death or even serious injury?
How fast was he going when he impacted the fender? I don't see any picture with the article to suggest how fast he was going.
Motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.. what kind of helmet? Where was it at the accident scene, still on his head? Was it a real helmet at all? Or did he buy the DOT sticker at the dealer to put on his nice shiny novelty helmet?
Lot of questions on both sides would need to be answered before placing blame..
First and foremost, the guy on the bike has to understand how vulnerable he is.. and it doesn't matter who has the right of way.. or who was right or wrong.. regardless who was right, he's dead she's not.
I'd say negligent is turning into the path of an oncoming vehicle then stating "I didn't see him."
I have an intramedullary rod in my right femur because someone wasn't paying attention and didn't yield the right of way.
I was on crutches for 6 months and a cane for 7 months because someone wasn't paying attention.
I see it all the time. People moving over lanes THEN looking to see if anyone is there.
Men and women are guilty of these things.
But, I'd have to say the majority of people doing these things are the soccer moms driving their SUVs...
several times louder pipes made a driver look and see us. Not everyone likes the sound of a riding sewing machine
She did hit him and said she didn't see him whether he was on drugs, no license or whatever. She had the traffic violation no matter what his condition was.
Sounds like 2 dumbazzes to me. (if he was impaired)
