Good for you, youre not an alcoholic. Wouldn't be breaking a law even if I was. You were the one who tried to draw parallels where there are none. Most folks Ive seen in the civillian world are told to come back when they are sober, which I still dont quite understand. Not where I work, nor most of the places I have worked.
Im sorry, But i guess im too stoned and illogical to understand your rapeing your neighbor comment. If you mean by doing something illegal in your own home, Maryland still has some strange sodomy laws.
What is to not understand? You defended smoking weed by stating that you did it in your own home, and thus, you see it to be none of anyone elses business. It is illegal. Rape is illegal. What is not to understand? Both are criminal acts, unlike smoking weed and speeding, which is another parallel you tried to draw.
Do I think it's being illegal makes any sense in light of what IS legal, etc? No. They could make it legal tomorrow and I'd applaud the decision, actually, even though I'm not a user.
But that does not change the fact that it IS illegal, and no matter how many excuses you make, or how you try to rationalize it, that doesn't change. You smoke weed, you break the law.
What is really puzzling me, is don't you have to have a clearance to work on military aircraft? And if so, don't you have to sign some sort of statement about drug use? Couldn't that really put your butt in a sling?
And you still try to play it off like it is no big deal.
Just puzzling to me.
