Right and when you've built a reputation as "such & such" why would you start going by "McSomar" to appease the minions?.mainman said:I thought he's been in the business for like 15 years...

MMDad said:My wife told me she heard an ad on 98.3 this afternoon for Don and Boner. It appears that he thinks everyone who takes part in forums is a loser. I guess his participation is proof that he's at least partially correct.
Has anyone else heard this ad? 98.3 makes my ears bleed, so I have not heard the ad for myself.
First off, to fix your "signature" add a "[" in front of "COLOR".SunnyD said:I'm still trying to figure out how to read responses to my posts.. or where my posts go after i send them

After everyone was so nice to him.

I hope you're not radio Dawn who's telling her listeners what losers forum posters are, when you aren't even familiar with how a forum works.SunnyD said:I'm still trying to figure out how to read responses to my posts.. or where my posts go after i send them

I mean when he first started, I thought we welcomed him.. Am I wrong?Toxick said:I know that I'm not a cunning linguist, but I'm fairly certain that (in American English) the following phrases:
"You suck"
"You're boring"
"You're T-Bone and Heather wannabe losers"
don't actually qualify as "nice". Even if they were meant as "constructive criticism", most people take offense when you tell them they suck at their job.

Can't speak for Dawn & Boomer, but I can tell you that Moondog Michaels was at least the THIRD Moondog at 98.3. When I was there we had two previous Moondogs. T-Bone of "T-Bone and Heather" was at least the third T-Bone as well. The first T-Bone was when the station first came on the air back in 1988 or 89...the second T-Bone did the "Beatles Brunch" in the 90's.Chasey_Lane said:You don't get anything when you Google "Moondog" either. Maybe the station gives them names; not the other way around.

And *some* people use it as an opportunity to see their weak points and improve.Toxick said:most people take offense when you tell them they suck at their job.
You may not know this, but I'm not the first Chasey. I recycled the name. :shrug:vraiblonde said:And *some* people use it as an opportunity to see their weak points and improve.

First of all, let me say that I do not endorce insulting your potential listenership on the air (unless that's your shtick : a la Don & Mike), especially in a market like Southern Maryland, where the market isn't very broad to begin with.
However, I can definitely see why they might have an attitude about the people here.
For real. You don't see Howard Stern crying about people saying mean things about him. Or Rush Limbaugh, for that matter. They say, "Thanks for the ratings" and count their money.otter said:Pretty funny that people choose a career dependent upon public acceptance and forget to bulk up on some thick skin.

Are you the one who used to ride a 750 Honda, or was it a Sportster?IrishGal said:Can't speak for Dawn & Boomer, but I can tell you that Moondog Michaels was at least the THIRD Moondog at 98.3.
