Being the Youngin' in the area

Hey all. I'm new to the forums and semi-new to the area. I recently got out of college and got a job with one of the contractors near the base in Lexington Park. Since I started, it has become increasingly difficult to find people close to my age. I'm a 22 and being out of college, I feel uncomfortable hanging around current college students and I am no where near close to any of the ages of my co-workers. Aside from the Green Door, which was interesting to say the least, it just seems like my age group is a minority in the area. Maybe its just me and I'm looking in the wrong places or, maybe someone can give me a better idea of where my generation can be found. :p I feel sorta weird coming to the forums, but its one of my last options. Thanks in advance.

Buffalo Wings and Beer in Lexington Park, and Catamarans on Solomons Island both cater to the younger crowd.

Though, when I was in your shoes I'd head to DC, Baltimore, or Annapolis for amusement.

I'll just clarify to clear the awkwardness. I'm a guy. Sorry.

yeah the green door sucks. I would suggest Fuzion on Friday and Cattamaran's on Saturday. Lots of people in that age range. It's all about what crowd you want. Hip-Hop or Rock.

the drag n inn? hmm if you live in st mary's that's a far drive to go to a bar. donovans on the weekends has people our age. It's in between the lights at walmart and nicolettis. You are right though. Most of the people in our age range are either : married with children or divorced with children and the remaining people our age are out an about. good luck and welcome!

Haha, thanks. I think I fit in with the Rock crowd a lot more.

I try to get to DC when I can, but meeting people seems easier when you don't have to drive an hour.
