Nope. Just an average guy. But I do pride myself on my wonderful singing voice!

Yeah, not knowing people sorta does leave me with the Bar-hopping scene.

Sorry if I'm being honest but that sounds just a tad bit homo. :)

If you're into live music there are bands playing around southern maryland most weekends.

I'd bet a dollar you already know a half dozen people with boats and don't even realize it. Start asking around, the weather is getting warmer and pretty soon everybody will be looking for crew for sailing, fishing buddies, etc.

Does anyone know any good Rock, Jazz, or even public radio stations in the area. I was a DJ in college and would like to continue part time.

I hear 97.7 is ok. Nothing else though.

Hey all. I'm new to the forums and semi-new to the area. I recently got out of college and got a job with one of the contractors near the base in Lexington Park. Since I started, it has become increasingly difficult to find people close to my age. I'm a 22 and being out of college, I feel uncomfortable hanging around current college students and I am no where near close to any of the ages of my co-workers. Aside from the Green Door, which was interesting to say the least, it just seems like my age group is a minority in the area. Maybe its just me and I'm looking in the wrong places or, maybe someone can give me a better idea of where my generation can be found. :p I feel sorta weird coming to the forums, but its one of my last options. Thanks in advance.
You need to find an Admiral's hottie daughter.

*Edit* And start going to the local churches where they all hang out and then volunteer to be on the choir so you'll get noticed.

I"m also 22, born and raised here so I'm used to the whole "nothing to do" way of life. haha.

but I agree with what everyone else has said, dew drop, donovans, cheeseburger in paradise, etc.

basically to live here be ready to go out to the bars on the weekends:) or you can always go on myspace and find some people in the area to talk to :tap:

Buffalo Wings and Beer in Lexington Park, and Catamarans on Solomons Island both cater to the younger crowd.

Though, when I was in your shoes I'd head to DC, Baltimore, or Annapolis for amusement.

DC and annapolis for me...i never did BMore to much, one wrong turn there is worse than a wrong turn in any part of DC.
