Best car for gas mileage.

I ended up getting a 2009 Toyota Corolla, one week ago today already have 530 miles and Im averaging 33.2 mpg.:yay:
I got 35 MPG on my last 2 tanks in the '05 Focus (91K miles). Depending on speed and traffic, I fluctuate between 30 and 35 MPG and would say I average about 32. If I keep it below 65, I get 35.

Same with my truck, burns a whole bunch of fuel, but I sure like driving it.

oh, and, when I set the programmer to level 4, I can beat the mustangs off the light and up to about 80.

of course, when I set it to 4, I need to make sure I have a full tank of fuel.

I am so very blessed
What happened to that big ole calculation of yours that led you to the conclusion that it was cheaper to drive what you've already got?
:roflmao: Because it's my money that's purchasing it.

Actually, even though we ordered it (and it has a delivery time of up to 14 months out), we probably won't end up with it after all. After coming home, I realized that "wtf, there is no room for Bob". And while that would be a good thing under most circumstances, there are times when we will have a need to go somewhere in the same vehicle.

So.....I'm now thinking about the possibility of a V-Bug convertible. At least it has a back seat for the toddler's car seat.

Don't sweat it... I have it on good source he also ordered the matching nutsack to hang from the back of it to counteract the vase.
Thank God, faith restored...

do they make the nutsacks in the light version so as not to lift the front wheels of the bug?

I think you may have a hard time doing that with my Mustang :lmao: But i know what you mean, even with diesel prices the way they are, I still miss my ol pickup (and it would beat quite a few cars in the quarter mile).

I take it then that your stang is not stock?

by the way, dont get me wrong, I love the rebirth of the mustang, that is one sweet car.

oh, and your picture?
that would be the GMC on a 4.
just cant do it often, no mods to the trans and anytime you exceed a 90 hp increase in engine, you need the trans worked a bit.

You are correct, not stock :yay:

I know what you mean, the stock trans is nice for stock power, once beyond that its more of a weak link. I had put a Suncoast trans and converter in mine, along with a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel system, custom chip...blah blah blah. It was a fun truck, but I'd probably go broke putting fuel in it now.

you would have loved my car back in the late 70s, it was a two door Olds Delta 88, had the 455 with the turbo 400 trans. I redid the engine, bored 60 over, over sized valves, 400 lift 350 duration cam, shaved heads, double dome pistons, polished and ported, two holly 1250s on top, electric fuel pump, mallory hot box duel point ignition, had a 1500 stall converter in the trans along with a valve body change over.

That, was a running car once you got traction.

oh, and it was primer gray,, the ultimate sleeper till you heard the cam
