Sullivan concluded by claiming that Russian media was already laying the groundwork for just such a pretext by issuing warnings that Ukraine was planning to attack Russian forces.

“I do think the world should be prepared for Russia staging a pretext and then launching a potential military action,” he said.

Biden Administration Prepares for Staff Exodus as Senior White House Aide Quits​

Mariel Saez, the White House director of broadcast media, will reportedly leave her government position as the director of broadcast media to start a job in the private sector. She assumed her role in the Biden administration on Inauguration Day in 2021.

“It has been an honor to serve the President as Director of Broadcast Media, and I am grateful to my talented and dedicated colleagues at the White House and across the Administration who worked hand-in-hand with me to communicate the President’s priorities across broadcast media,” Saez wrote in a statement published by CNN.

“Several White House officials have told CNN there’s an expectation there will be more departures in the weeks ahead, likely after Biden’s State of the Union address on March 1,” CNN noted in their report, adding that there’s no indication that other members of Biden’s senior team are on the way out.

‘Dubious Financial Dealings’​

Republican members of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform wrote to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Monday, demanding more documentation and information after she violated federal trading law.

The 12 Republicans — led by Oversight Ranking Member James Comer and South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman, the top Republican on the panel’s environment subcommittee — argued that Granholm’s recent violation of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act signaled a lack of transparency at the agency under her watch, in the letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The GOP members noted that she also gave an inadequate response to their May 2021 oversight into her ownership of electric vehicle maker Proterra’s stock.

“Stock trading and public service are like oil and water. They don’t mix,” Norman told the DCNF in a statement. “Secretary Granholm’s dubious financial dealings since taking office require serious transparency. If there’s nothing to hide, play ball with us on the Oversight Committee because we’re not going anywhere.”

Biden claim that supply chain is to blame for inflation is 'totally dishonest,' Obama-era official says​

In an op-ed for The New York Times, Steven Rattner – who served as counselor to the Treasury secretary under then-President Barack Obama – accused Biden of mischaracterizing the once-in-a-generation inflation spurt that Americans are experiencing.

"Supply issues are by no means the root cause of our inflation. Blaming inflation on supply lines is like complaining about your sweater keeping you too warm after you’ve added several logs to the fireplace," Rattner wrote. "The bulk of our supply problems are the product of an overstimulated economy, not the cause of it."

Rattner was referring to comments that Biden made during an interview last week with NBC News' Lester Holt, in which the president said pandemic-induced bottlenecks in the global supply chain were the largest driver of soaring consumer prices. Biden pointed to semiconductor shortages, which have continued to delay car manufacturing and have contributed to a 12.2% annual rise in vehicle costs.

“Over three months, senior Biden administration officials held half a dozen urgent meetings with top Chinese officials in which the Americans presented intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup around Ukraine and beseeched the Chinese to tell Russia not to invade,” The New York Times reported. “Each time, the Chinese officials, including the foreign minister and the ambassador to the United States, rebuffed the Americans, saying they did not think an invasion was in the works. After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions.”

The report comes after Russia launched a full-scale invasion into Ukraine late this week and fighting has already reached the country’s capital city of Kyiv, although U.S. officials claim that Russia’s advance has been slowed down some by Ukrainian resistance.

The meetings in which the Biden administration turned over intelligence to Beijing started after Biden held a video summit with Chinese dictator Xi Jinping in mid-November.

In Leaks About Failed Russian Diplomacy, Biden Exposed Dangerous Weakness On China​

The Biden administration’s weakness and incompetence were on full display in a New York Times article last week recounting the White House’s repeated—and failed— attempts to urge China to help avert war in Ukraine. The purpose of the article was to allow senior administration officials to take their duplicitous Chinese counterparts to task, but the account reveals above all that White House officials are out of their depth in dealing with China.

It is nearly impossible to read the Biden administration’s side of the story without perceiving the weakness, gullibility, and ineffectiveness that the Biden White House unwittingly presents. Administration officials describe how they were “repeatedly rebuffed” by Chinese officials even as the Americans scrambled for “half a dozen urgent meetings over three months” to try to avert the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The article repeats how “Each time, the Chinese officials… rebuffed the Americans,” as if to drive home the humiliating point.

These rebuffed Americans are quickly recast as duped Americans. Biden officials disclosed to The New York Times that they shared intelligence with their Chinese counterparts only to be double-crossed when the Chinese quickly leaked that intel to the Russians.

President Biden's science agenda is imploding​

Biden also elevated the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to a cabinet-level department, led by Eric Lander, the famed mathematician and geneticist. Lander, whom Biden charged with “reinvigorating American science,” would be the first White House science adviser with a background in the life sciences, and the first to sit in the president’s cabinet. He was confirmed in May 2021 and assumed leadership of the president’s science policy agenda.

Then, less than a year after taking up his post, Lander resigned after Politico reported that an internal investigation into Lander’s workplace conduct had found him guilty of bullying and demeaning staff. After mounting public pressure, Lander tendered his resignation — the first Biden cabinet official to leave office.

OSTP’s problems don’t end there: Jane Lubchenco, who was rumored to be a potential pick for Lander’s replacement, herself came under scrutiny for violating scientific integrity principles. Apparently, Lubchenco — who, ironically, co-chairs OSTP’s Scientific Integrity Task Force — failed to disclose key conflicts of interest that contributed to the retraction of an influential paper in the prestigious journal Proceedings of the National Academies of Science.

The Biden Administration stopped all gas and oil production in the ANWR region of Alaska. It ended all new federal leases for drilling. It is canceling major new pipelines. It is leveraging lending agencies not to finance oil and gas drilling.

It helped force the cancellation of the EastMed pipeline that would have brought much-needed natural gas to southern Europe. And it has in just a year managed to turn the greatest oil and gas producer in the history of the world into a pathetic global fossil-fuel beggar.

Saudi, UAE leaders declined calls with Biden amid Ukraine conflict: report​

Leaders in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) declined calls with President Biden as the war in Ukraine intensified, Middle East and U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.

"There was some expectation of a phone call, but it didn’t happen," a U.S. official told the Journal regarding a call between Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. "It was part of turning on the spigot [of Saudi oil]."

UAE leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also declined a call from Biden, according to the officials.

Officials told the outlet that U.S. relations with the two Gulf countries have been strained over the Biden administration's lack of support in the war in Yemen and the revived negotiations concerning the Iran nuclear deal.

Saudi Arabia has also been pushing for legal immunity in the U.S. for Crown Prince Mohammed, who is accused of killing a journalist in 2018.
