I got a 97. I think I missed the ones about the kick stands. I had never heard those terms before. I also wished you could see the answers.

Most Motorcycle Clubs will not allow women to be members (i.e. full patch holders). They can wear "Property of" or "Sweetheart" patches but can't be full members.

I've been around Harley's all my life and I've never heard of these terms either (except for straight pipe and apehanger).

I think we were refering to gangs on bikes rather than motorcycle clubs.
The initiations etc.

I saw a guy once whose patch identified his as "SNOT". As funny as that was the chick standing next to him had a rocker that said "Property of SNOT"

I know of someone who was once going to join a motorcycle gang. A few of the initiations were having all the members urinate on the new members vest (of course, the member could not wash it). Another was they would dump a bucket of all kinds of gross things (animal guts etc) on the vest. Again, the member could not wash the vest.

I *think* the gang was the Phantoms.

The MC etiquette is pretty much the same for all the clubs, from the Hells Angels to the Blue knights. They require an initiation period, the "prospect" phase. They'll usually be wearing just the chapter "rocker" portion of the MC patch. They pretty much have to do ANYTHING a full patch holder tells to do doing this period.
A riding club, you write a check and buy a patch. A riding club patch will not have a chapter rocker.
