Can I find three more people that want to run the beltway with me tonight at rush hour? we can sit side by side all the way around with our cruise set at a quick pace of 54mph.

actually, 54, beltway,, rush hour?? we might be rear ending people.. never mind.

Neither is knowing that 301 (Crain HIGHWAY) is a highway.

You call yourself sockgirl, but you havent been a girl for some time....

In North American and Australian English, the term frequently implies a major road such as a controlled-access highway or an arterial, generally under the control of a state or provincial agency instead of a local road authority.

As in having exits, not every podunk liqour store having its own stop light.

You know, back in the day, before most of you were alive, 301 from 197 in bowie to Waldork was pretty much a highway, straight run with no stops all the way in.

Hey remember years ago when the MSP did a rolling 55mph roadblock on the beltway? It made the evening news as 4 lane back ups stretched for miles and miles....

Yep, I was remembering it when I wrote that, late 70s?

now its a miles long back up with no intervention.
I get off of it in the morning right when the back up starts, I have to sit in maybe a quarter mile of it.

slow people please just move over and get over it. Everybody drives 60+ mph and most 70+. If its possible for you to move over then do it!!. Its beyond rude to ride in the left lane at 55 mph keeping pace with another car doing 55 mph in the right. Pass them and get over! Its simple, courteous and less dangerous than holding up a line of traffic. Its common friggin sense people. Sockgirl can whine about not having to do it per the annotated code...blah , blah, blah.. We will put that on your tombstone as they try to remove the bumper from the back of your skull.

Have some common sense and quit speeding. Problem solved. Also, if you bother to read my ####ing posts you'll see that I do travel in the right lane. You will not see a bumper sticker on my skull, just the one on my ass reminding you to pull my hair...
