lets look at that.
the one doing the speed limit is the one causing the problems?
I look at it the other way, the ones insisting on speeding are creating an unsafe condition for the ones doing the speed limit.

besides, lets say they raise the limit to 60, would you still go 60? or would you then feel safe to run at 65 or 70, and now the person that was doing 45 is now doing 60. are they still being unsafe and causing problems?

The speed limit changing does not matter, everyone goes faster. If you can't handle it stay right.

After I dropped my daughter off at school, I was coming back up 214, doing the speed limit,,, exactly.
This (insert C word) started tailing me. Im in my truck she is in a hyundai or something similar. I didnt speed up, she slowed down and got some distance so I figured she was just not paying attention when she rolled up on me.

But nooooo, she floors it and flies up like she is going to intimidate me, I just kept at the limit. 2 lane road you know, its not like I could move to another lane or anything.
she did it again, this time I brake checked her,, hard. for the next 5 miles she stayed way back.
Guess she was bluffing.

I follow the speed limit.
If you cant handle it, KMA You either pass, or go the same speed I am going.

I suggest you trying to leave before me so I dont block you.

Hint, most of the time, the speed limit in the left lane IS enough to be passing those in the right. Im legal.

:lmao: I've had ppl. run up on me and just as I am about to brake check them, they back off. I'm not sure why they do run up on you like that.

What do you mean WIN? In order for one side or the other to win they have to convince the other side they are right. I don't see that happening here so there is no winning and losing there is only a discussion.

You have to pick it up off the ground first for me to kiss it, that would be appreciated as I have back problems, and make sure you clean the crust out first, TIA.

the law does state 10 mph under, but it also states the lane is for passing, while at the same time it in no uncertain terms says the posted speed is the max.
so, in your question, the answer is, they do have a right to drive 7 under, however unless the people in the right are going even slower, they should legally be to the right.

Even though I am on the side of moving to the right lane if you are doing the speed limit I don’t condone tailgating. I am also fine with those that do the speed limit on a 2 lane highway because I don't believe that anyone should be forced to speed if they don't want to. My stance is that if there is a lane to safely move into if cars want to pass then it seems to me the courteous thing would be to get in that lane.

But as you pointed out it is just a limit and by MD law they can do 10mph under legally. So even though they are legal you want them to speed up to accommodate you?
The bottom line is that most of the ones arguing for doing the speed limit in the left lane are hypocrites because I guarantee at one point in their life they have done above the speed limit either intentionally or by accident. I would also bet the at some point in their lives they were frustrated because the person in front of them was going slower than they wanted to go. It is because they had some sort of moral epiphany that they feel they can dictate that others don’t do what they once did.
