you are a bigot, plain and simple. You have seen the explanation of the scout oath on their own website which by default should make scouts fine with homosexuals. You have also ignored it, because you don't want to see it.

Then you MUST be one also? The scouts should accept gays because your flawed sources say so? That means that you are biased (bigoted) against their Christian stance against gays, right? Goes both ways pal, so be careful whom you call what.

I think what he was saying they should just honor their own code, and I can see his point to that. If they say they will allow anyone then they should honor that. That being said, they stillshould be allowed to do whatever they please (not because of a religous affiliation) but because they are a private organization.

I have nothing about the bigotry comments though...

I've asked everyone here when they made their choice .... so far no one has said when they made it.

So again I'll ask.

When in your life did you find both men and women equally sexually attractive and when did you choose which of them you wanted to pursue?

edit: I even asked you before if at some point you made a choice and you said

and that has been the ENTIRE crux of the original post. Philadelphia has said they will no longer pay rent for the Boy Scouts because of their discrimination practices.

Posters on here have muddied the original topic claiming Philadelphia is forcing the Boy Scouts to accept Gays, which is not true. Philadelphia has just stated that the Boy Scouts can not accept taxpayer funds if they continue to practice their discrimination.

...and that's the way it should be. If the Scouts want the benefit of public funding, they need to comply with the anti-discrimination laws.

gay people get married and have kids all the time, just look at Senater Craig (i know he adopted the kids but still) an obviously gay man who has a family, and his wife is either ok with it or willing to blindly accept that its not true even when confonted with it.....


either way, straight parents have gay kids all the time. My cousin is gay and his family is one of the most straight laced bunch of mormons you would ever meet.

I'm quoting this directly from their (the scouts) site. I'm not exactly making this up.

Christians can do whatever the hell (haha) they want as far as I'm concerned, but 1: the boy scouts aren't a solely christian organization and 2: their own website gives the requirements for joining and (big shock) any homosexual male in the correct age group should be able to join!
