Boy Scouts and Gay Rights Again.........

and in this case the action that put YOU into a more dangerous circumstance is that YOU are out banging a skank, or that YOUR WIFE is out acting slutty
the way you keep typing the you in big letters, I almost get the idea that you are trying to infer that I am actually out doing a skank, and that my wife is out being a slut.
am I to assume that this is the direction you wish for this to go?

yes .... unless it's a public organization that specifically says someone can join and then bars them from entry I'd say.
the boy scouts are a private entity.

and, what if I owned a bar and I did not allow any known homosexuals to enter. Would that be ok?

he's saying 'you' as the person commiting the actions not you the individual.

let me add that I dont think the boy scouts should be getting public assistance at all in the first place, regardless of their relationship with the homosexual community

a private entity that according to their own joining requirements should allow homosexuals to join.

I'm not sure .... if it's a public place then I think, by law, you have to, but if it's a private club, then you wouldn't have to.

no, they should not.
look at when it was written, and what it might have meant in those days.

homosexuality was not a big issue back then.

Then, once all is said and done and the scouts are no longer receiving government assistance either in donations or rent reductions, you will then have no problems with them, as a private club excluding those that they would rather not associate with.

when have I argued against someones rights?

Not in this forum....but in your own mind, thoughts and world. I'm sure you, :howdy:like me, are guilty of a thought or action that might, if known, be offensive to someone. That's why the honesty part is so important to my inquiry.

I don't care what it ment in those days, though the word 'all' is still every bit as inclusive today as it was then.

so why should it be now?

because it does not fit in with their idea of what moral is based on their interpretation of their Bible.

and, it never would have

then they should change their requirements. Because as it stands right now their own website says homosexuals should be able to join.

Let me clear this up a bit more.
back then, homosexuality was not something that was out in the open, if they were homo, they hid it.
not until this great push to embrace and render as normal the homosexual lifestyle did it become an issue to define ones feelings on the subject.
100 years ago, we would not have been having this conversation.
