Most of us think of race when minority is mentioned. And I apologize to you for the mental handicap response about you. It is not in my character to EVER ridicule anyone about that. Having said that, the Scouts have stood for being "morally straight" since I can remember, so why should they change their standards just because the world is?

I brought up the 'straight white scouts of america with no minorities allowed' false name because it makes note of multiple types of minorities. The two I alluded to are 'race' and 'sexuality'.
The BSA currently discriminate against homosexuals for no reason.
Most of us think of race when minority is mentioned. And I apologize to you for the mental handicap response about you. It is not in my character to EVER ridicule anyone about that. Having said that, the Scouts have stood for being "morally straight" since I can remember, so why should they change their standards just because the world is?

Maybe I should have been more specific. Not a natural act between humans, OK? Again, If God didn't want animals to do it, He'd destroy them too, but He's very clear on human behavoir. Man & Woman, no other combination.

They are a non-profit private corporation and is funded from private donations, membership dues, corporate sponsors, and special events.

well, not all homosexuals are morally upright, but neither are all straight people.
I have no doubt that if there is a hell, then people from both walks of life will burn in it.

What does that mean? Explain clearly please. To me (from God's point of view, of course), it's an oxymoron. And, by the way, He'll have the last word on this someday so why fight it? What God said won't be changed even if the entire world disagrees with it.

If people want to join so bad, and dont like the rules the Boy Scouts have, then they should create thier own organization.

Yes you would know and I gave you God's point of view. It's in Leviticus 20 v 13 but you know that. I just asked you what YOU meant by "morally straight homosexual". Morally straight, to me, means living godly in all areas of life. Homosexual means the opposite as far as sexual relationships go. How can 2 men or 2 women be gay and moral? Would they live together but abstain from their "physical activities"? Would they help the poor then help themselves to each other and that would be OK? That's the contradiction I see.

Therein lies the problem. If these people would just leave the scouts alone and start the "HSA", as the previous forumite said, this thread would not be this long.

Why? I studied the Bible for over 12 years. I have read it enough times to form an opinion. I think a lot of the Bible is crap. Maybe I have seen this book used to hurt too many people. Fools use it as a club to beat down anyone they are afraid of. They find random, out of context quotes and cling to them as they stand there righteous and smug in their superiority over everyone else. Screw that. I refuse to use Jesus's name to hurt people.
JUST about being good to others???? That is what this life is about. If your religon is about being one of the very few to get a "key" into heaven, then have at it. I don't want in. I will stand outside with my husband and children. I would rather be on fire then be without them. That is why I am ex-Catholic. They lost me. And you're the kind of person that reminds me that I will never go back.

OUCH! Why blame the Bible for people's screw ups? That's like saying knives are at fault for all the stabbings in the world. It's people dear, and they will ALWAYS let you down. I have to agree with you, they do find "out of context quotes"...and use Jesus name to hurt others.
