Broncos relent, try to trade Cutler

Your naive if you actually think Zorn wants Campbell as his starting QB. Sure Zorn is going to say that what is he suppose to say? Even Deadskin fans don't think they can win with Campbell.
Some fans think that, not all. I'd say it's 50/50 at the most. Some fans in Pittsburgh want Big Ben gone. Thus the logic of the fan.

Zorn does want Campbell as his QB. The most obvious reason is that they're tied at the hip. If one fails they both fail.

They're out to get us
How so? Do you think Zorn has so little say so that in the last two games of the year, when the Skins were out of the playoff chase, that he was not allowed to put a back up in to see how they'd perform on the big stage?

If Zorn does not want nor support Campbell, at the VERY least he'd want to get Colt some playing time to see what he's got AND to help his case that Campbell ain't the guy. Yes?

Colt may have looked good against backups in the preseason, but if he was getting smoked by the starters in practice then there's no way they'd put him into the game. They continued to develop Campbell since he's their starter for better or for worse.

I was reading on ESPN or SI the other day that a big reason for the Redskins failure to trade for Cutler was because...the Broncos valued Kyle Orton over Jason Campbell!!! :killingme :killingme :killingme

Don't you know better by know than to try and inject logic into a discussion about the Redskins and who the quarterback should be?

Your team was 1 of the worst offensive teams in the NFL last year. Hmmmm who usually is at fault when your offense sucks that bad? O coach then QB.

Well, Kyle Orton is 18-2 at home.

That is 'usually' the case but not in this instance. Of course, any casual fan such as yourself would blame the QB. In reality there were numerous reasons for the lackluster offense.

New coach. New system. Same ole' injury prone o-linemen. No quality depth at the o-line. Rookie receivers.

Campbell wasn't at his peak last season but he wasn't the sole and ultimate reason the team lost games. Everyone needs a scapegoat and the buck usually stops at the QB, fair or not.

OK, but we know, as a matter of fact, that the Skins O immediately improved under the terribly marginal Todd Collins. He had solid, decent games but never shone and that's why Campbell got the job back when he recovered; potential.

And he's never shone. He's never had even one BIG game where he overcame all the obstacles and at least gave a show of what he COULD do and make everyone day dream of what could be.

Cutler had eight games last year with over 300 yards passing including one over 400, Jason two. Cutler had 8 games with two TD's or more, Jason two.

We can run down the list of Redskins contributory problems and weaknesses all day long but we can't say that Campbell has shown the talent to over come them.

I don't think you necessarily improve this team with Cutler on the roster. He's a better QB, yes. He'll be sacked more than in Denver and will assuredly have less TD's and yards than in Denver because of the terrific receiving core we have. Campbell has had BIG games. His problem has been consistency. Cutler's defense gave up a ton of points whereby Cutler had to throw a million times, thus the numerous 300 yard games. He's had one good year. Let's see how he does when he has to adapt to new players, system, coaches and crap receivers.

If you look back at some of the games last season you'll see that Campbell isn't the problem. Every team needs someone to blame, however. In Washington that has traditionally been the quarterback.
