Buying another bike...

I was told yesterday, that if I want to go out for 2-3 hour rides on the weekends, I should go with the softail family instead of the Dyna... Apparently the softail family is just a much more comfortable ride for both driver and passenger...

Anyone rode both styles have any input?

Haven't ridden either, but if you want, at some point, to put bags on it, it looks like those exposed shocks would limit the size a lot.

I think by the time I'm ready for bags, I'll also be ready for a new bike  (I'm hoping atleast :lmao:)

you'll be ready for bags the first time you want to carry something that won't fit in your pocket.

Ever need to stop and grab a loaf of bread on the way home?

(while you might fit a loaf of bread in your pocket, it's not much good if you do)

I know for a bit I may ride with a small back pack or something just to carry my stuff for work in...

As for stopping after work, normally its cig's or something I stop for...so Im not to worried about that...

That get's to be a pain, especially if you're riding double.
:gossip: no boobs rubbing on your back

You're looking at Harley's so you'll want to carry a can of chrome polish, some sort of cleaning solution and a microfiber buffing cloth.
There's ALWAYS a 30% chance of rain, a rain suit is nice to have along. It's a good idea to put together a basic tool kit and carry it with you. Jap bikes come with them, but I don't think Harley's do. You mentioned 2-3 hour rides. It would be nice to carry a couple of bottles of water with you.

Being able to carry a small amount (10-40 liters) makes the riding experience soooo much nicer.
My topcase is 48l and the side cases are 52l each.

Which kind of bike does S like?

 She likes the first bike I went and looked at, but I won't be getting...Other than that, she doesn't have much preference :ohwell:

The backpack would just be for coming to work, not normally riding unless I just really wanted to ride and needed to take something... But I can see the advantages of having the bags in all, I think its just a "being young" thing and not really liking the looks of most bikes with them...

Yeah, done changed my mind again :lmao:

It's either gonna be a Night Train or a FatBob...

I'm picking it up either the 1st or 2nd week of August....(As long as the dealership gets them in)

Just an FYI. If you plan on taking the little woman with you on any trips, you are definitely going to need bags. We need to bring stuff with us, i.e., hairbrush, hair gel, hat, feminine products, perhaps some make-up, oh, another shirt or jacket for weather changes, wallet.....My entire purse fits in one of my bags and the other is crammed with water and clothes.:lmao:

Go lookin', I only saw the blue. It's just a flat paint, but the texture is a little rough. Kinda weird, I don't know if I like it.

I kinda like the Red Hot Sunglo look...So we'll see what comes along I guess...
