She will certainly be missed by anyone that ever met her.
Only met her once in person, but her laugh and her smile were infectious.
I have never known anyone to go through what she must have been going through for the last year and still keep such a positive attitude.
I have been wondering where you were, as I know you were one of her closest friends.I will miss my "lesbian biker chic" and know I am a better person for knowing, loving, and being loved by such a very special individual.
I have her recipe![]()
Now we just need someone to take up the ownership of the TP Fort Knox.you teasing her about her tp stash
Desertrat, I never had the opportunity to meet Melanie, but enjoyed her posts very much and felt that she was a friend even though we did not personally know each other. I admired her for the dignity and grace she showed while fighting her battle. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us and allowing me to put a face with her name.
to Mel.
We need to get her ashes down to Nags Head so she'll stop haunting us.
Oregon Inlet actually. Bring 4x4, I'll have the other devices that are nice to have. Tow ropes, shovels, boards, air pumps . etc.

I'm sorry for your loss as well. I only met Melanie twice, but her enthusiasm was so infectious as to make her instantly memorable. I didn't know she had left us but will be pegs down for her on my next missions. She will be missed.
