I"m talking old southern families.. Jackie Kennedy women with hats and white gloves.. That's how I remember my childhood.. It was still very much the 50's in the 80's there..

And not only was it set in a bar, but apparently it was set in a dive full of drunken simpletons.
On the other hand, Hollywood MD has some pretty slim-pickin's as far as decent TV is concerned - being a primarily residential area with very few shopping centers or gathering places where you might see more than 3 people together. Lawns, patio-furniture, swing-sets and vast stretches of forest make for less than exciting news coverage.
