He's a boy who pulled a prank that landed him in trouble and can't walk with his class. And I'm not putting his name out here.

Yeah, I know, don't need to, his names in the one of the articles...just wondering who he "is" ...you kind'a made it sound like it's a big deal and I figure you're on the inside around here so...?

It was like class of '80 or '81 who stole Clara Belvedere? I didn't even move here until '86 and still heard about that. This will be one of those stories.

I think it is a big deal. He can't walk with his class. I imagine it's a huge deal to him, his parents, family............... Huge deal.

No...let me slow it down here for ya...you made it sound like it was a big deal as to who the guy IS (not that he can't walk with the class and all that...) but as if the community at large would be shocked as to who it was. Apparently nobody important. Carry On.

Cluck indeed. The prank we pulled at Tiki was your idea, but you left before we actually did it.

All we did in 74 was take a teachers 1966 MG midget and carry into the school and put it up on the roof going thru the library windows .Seriously the only thing said was "it better be back in the parking lot by 3:00pm"!

no more aphids @ Chopticon...

Good point! I bet the FFA really like that!! :yay:

I don't think this rises to the level of being charged by the police - at least not from what I've read so far. I think the bill for clean up should be divided amongst the parents of the kids involved. (IF my kid did that, I'd make him pay for it. OH, would I make him pay.) They should have some kind of repercussions, and I think the clean up and/or paying for the clean up should have fit the crime. IF they did break and enter the school, and vandalized the school - then I guess there needs to be some kind of legal recourse.

I don't think the one student should not be allowed to walk for Graduation. I think that is unreasonable.

Interestingly, I asked Thing2 if he had heard about the Ladybugging Incident at CHS. He said yes, and he agreed with the school.

:yikes: I've created a monster!

We're talking about an environment where kids get suspended for carrying a nail clipper. Why does the judgement surprise anyone, even if it was just a prank?

Just found out which kid isn't walking for graduation day because of this. :faint:

Ya'll will be surprised as well.

It would be nicer just to leave it alone instead of playing the "I know something you don't know" game.

It made national news. I'm pretty sure I know the same thing everyone else that reads national news knows, I wasn't playing I know and you don't. WTF. I was stating I was surprised who it was, and I am sure other on this forum will be as surprised since many know this person, or the parents.

and I don't think this prank is as bad as the year they let the cows in and took them upstairs. And the person responsible walked.

It did kind of sound like you were saying that you knew and others didn't, and would be surprised when they did find out.

Anyhow, I think it's kind of cheesy to come onto the forum and announce it, though. I mean, if anyone who posts here knows the name of the student, and knows the parent(s), AND knows they post here AND makes all those connections, why would someone who is a friend want to blab it all out on a public forum? To embarrass?

My girl and I were out to dinner tonight and ran into a friend of hers that goes to Chopticon. They both know the main culprit and we all agree that it was a funny prank and not walking tomorrow is unjust.
