That is correct. I took off Wednesday and Heard the crabbing boats setting the pots.

I thought its longstanding MD law that you CAN't crab (recreationally) on Wedensdays. ??

Aren't most of the pots that are dropped and left put there by commercial crabbers?

I see a few of what looks like pots out around the Benedict Bridge. Anyone know if they've brought a crab out of that area yet? Also, I saw a sign offering 'live crabs for sale' in the Golden Beach area. Someone tell me they were were caught locally! I am so ready for crabbing!!!!

Went and checked out pier with the kids last Thursday, saw a couple of small ones on the pilings, will be going out next Thursday to try our luck.

We are located on the Patuxent, just north of the Solomons Rec Center

Hooray! I've had my license for weeks, the boat's been freshly painted, and I'm ready to crab! And where there's babies, there must be daddies and grandpas not far away!

When you want to do one, lemme know, and I may be able to get you the crabs for the price of the gas to run the line of crab pots for the hour or two it will take to catch a bushel.

I just love ya'll. Ya'll speak my language. It's like I've been on the moon for 9 yrs.

I haven't seen a bushel of crabs in so loooooong. Someone mentioned dipped in vinegar, yes, yes, yes, now you're talking. For me along side, crackers, extra ole bay seasoning, a bowl of vinegar= Heaven.

Crab feast, I miss them. I remember sitting for long periods of time, eat some, lax some, then dig in again.

Use to do my fair share of crabbing too, on pax river. Would go out on the river at night spotlighting and netting them. Much fun. Loved it out on the river at night, so peaceful. Did fair share of fishing too. Caught many a blue fish and rock fish. Those were the days my friends.
