I moved here in '93. At that time there were only 2 police patrol cars out in all of St. Marys county. How things have changed it 31 years!

I can see where you'd be confused. There's neighborhoods that you wouldn't travel to just off Great Mills road. For the most part a recent transplant wouldn't drive in those as there's no business' in them.
As a side note, I wouldn't recommend traveling into any of those between Pegg Road and Great Mills Rd.

Got here in spring of 93 myself. Lived in Columbia Commons my first year. Biggest crime encountered was a little girl stole our kitten and some Chief was a bit creepy talking to my girlfriend while in his bathrobe. Late 90s lived in Patuxent Homes for two years. Had some kids run up and over my 1987 model car.
Spending a year in either place now most likely not the same experience.
