Florida Reports Nation's Lowest Daily COVID Cases Per Capita

Florida currently has the lowest number of COVID-19 cases per capita in the United States.

The Sunshine State reported a daily average of 1,393 cases as of Friday, which is only six per 100,000, and a 2% decrease in the last two weeks.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has been slammed by partisan media critics since the pandemic began due to his opposition to government-imposed mask and vaccine mandates. Yet facts favor his decisions.

A buffoon named Chris King, who finished fifth in the 2018 Florida Democratic gubernatorial primary and is laughably running again in 2022, accused DeSantis of going on a “killing spree” for opposing mask mandates. Earlier this fall, the far-left rag Vanity Fair chose a huge “angel of death” headline to describe the successful governor.

I don't really think there will be a second Civil War, but it is possible I suppose.
The mandates are getting pretty bothersome---firing people who refuse to get a shot is not going to endear many people , and when the idiots who are pushing these trillion dollar bills, find out that the rich are not really going to be the ones paying they will be a little upset.
We all know that the price of food fuel, heating fuel, the price of everything is increasing because Joe Biden destroyed our energy independence on his first day in office. His other EO's were also done for only one reason-that reason to spit in the face of Trump voters.
IMO the real problem will be when Joe outlaws the ownership of firearms and tried to confiscate them. IMO the sh1t will hit the fan that day.

Doc Suspended Over Biden Vax Mandate. DeSantis: He’s Reinstated, ‘Freedom Has A Home Here In Florida’

Gov. DeSantis has routinely led the way in treatment against the COVID virus — including vital antibody treatment — and vaccination availability while maintaining freedom of choice for Floridians.

As highlighted by Blaze Media, a newly released “Freedom in the 50 States” index from the Cato Institute ranked states with Republican governors leading eight of the 10 most free states. Florida ranked overall at number two. Here’s the top ten:
  1. New Hampshire – Republican Governor
  2. Florida – Republican Governor
  3. Nevada – Democratic Governor
  4. Tennessee – Republican – Governor
  5. South Dakota – Republican Governor
  6. Indiana – Republican Governor
  7. Michigan – Democratic Governor
  8. Georgia – Republican Governor
  9. Arizona – Republican Governor
  10. Idaho – Republican Governor
“Meanwhile,” Blaze Media reported, “eight of the states with the worst freedom ratings were led by Democratic governors.”
  1. New York – Democratic Governor
  2. Hawaii – Democratic Governor
  3. California – Democratic Governor
  4. New Jersey – Democratic Governor
  5. Oregon – Democratic Governor
  6. Maryland – Republican Governor
  7. Delaware – Democratic Governor
  8. Vermont – Republican Governor
  9. New Mexico – Democratic Governor
  10. Rhode Island – Democratic Governor

‘Mass Human Smuggling Operation’

DeSantis has hammered Biden in recent weeks over the flights, threatening to round up the illegals and ship them to the president’s home state of Delaware. In September, Florida filed suit against the federal government over its immigration policy, claiming that the relocation of thousands of illegals into Florida is illegal. The governor also issued an order authorizing Florida law enforcement “to detain any aircraft, bus, or other vehicle within the State of Florida reasonably believed to be transporting illegal aliens to Florida from the Southwest Border.”

DeSantis continued his attacks on Monday, appearing on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” with host Laura Ingraham. DeSantis said, according to Fox News:
So, the border is obviously a disaster and some people say, ‘Well, that’s a problem for Texas or Arizona.’ Well, actually, the Biden administration puts people on planes and flies them into Florida in the wee hours of the morning. They’ve done over 70 flights in the last six months, dump people here. And we had — a few weeks ago — one of those people that Biden dumped, ended up committing a murder in northeast Florida. So, these are crimes that would not have happened but for Biden’s recklessness. So, our view is, if they’re going to be dumping, we want to be able to facilitate transfer to places like Delaware, and, so, we have $8 million in my new budget to be able to do that. We also look to these carriers that the federal government is contracting with, and we are going to pass legislation that says, ‘If you are facilitating Biden’s policies, which is effectively a mass human smuggling operation, you are not going to be able to do business with the state of Florida or other local governments, and we are going to charge you restitution for each individual that you are bringing.

DeSantis: ‘Important’ That ‘OSHA Mandate Not Be Allowed To Stand,’ ‘Massive Expansion Of Federal Power’

“…an appeals court on Friday allowed President Biden’s vaccine mandate for private employers to take effect as New York and California are reimposing these mask mandates,” Bartiromo said. “It looks like this is going to the Supreme Court.”

DeSantis responded, saying that he thought the 6th Circuit made a “terrible decision.”

“I do think we’re going to get positive relief from the U.S. Supreme Court on that,” the governor stated. “But Maria, what we did in Florida is we didn’t leave it to chance. We passed substantive protections in a special session for Floridians so that they are able to have generous ability to opt out of these types of mandates.”

Miami Herald op-ed suggests Florida omicron outbreak occurred because Gov. DeSantis acted 'selfishly'

"Last lesson of 2021, Florida: Omicron happens when we act selfishly, like Gov. DeSantis," the piece from Miami Herald columnist Fabiola Santiago read.

Santiago suggested that surging infection rates are all due to Floridians "giddily taking risks." Now, the state is seeing a resurgence of hours-long COVID-19 testing lines and an increase in deaths, according to a Miami Herald analysis.

Santiago specifically pointed fingers at the state’s leader, faulting DeSantis for failing to guide Florida with "sensible policies" or appropriate verbal direction for people who "most need to hear an endorsement of science over quackery from him – the politically reticent to the vaccine."

According to Santiago, the governor is "busy peddling treatment over prevention" and continues to spread lies about Dr. Anthony Fauci, who she tags as the nation’s top authority on infectious diseases. But DeSantis’s beef with Fauci, she argued, is all a political distraction from his own agenda.

Everything I read about Omicron claims it is more like a bad cold than some death disease, why is the media trying to frighten Americans.
If you are sick stay home until you feel better.

The damned test doesn't do you any good, it doesn't cure anything, why bother with it if you don't feel sick.

Standing in line for the test is idiocy. IMO. If you are well enough to stand in that line you are well enough to stay home.

Florida Surgeon General Accuses Biden Administration of 'Actively Preventing' One Important Covid-19 Treatment

“Shortly after Florida’s 100,000 treatment milestone, and without any advanced notice, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a dramatic reduction in the number of monoclonal antibodies to be allocated to the State of Florida,” Ladapo said. “Governor DeSantis moved quickly to acquire Sotrovimab from GlaxoSmithKline to help alleviate the artificial shortage caused by this sudden shift from HHS. However, the lack of allocation of this life-saving treatment from the federal government continues to cause another immediate and life-threatening shortage of treatment options” amid the spread of Omicron.

Ladapo recognized the evidence that some treatment options may not be as effective for Omicron as Delta, but still argued that federal agencies shouldn’t limit any treatment options, as providers are still caring for Covid-19 patients in areas with a low prevalence of the new variant.

“The federal government is actively preventing the effective distribution of monoclonal antibody treatments in the U.S. The sudden suspension of multiple monoclonal antibody therapy treatments from distribution to Florida removes a health care provider’s ability to decide the best treatment options for their patients in this state,” he said. “This shortsightedness is especially evident given that the federal government effectively prohibited states from purchasing these monoclonal antibodies and serving their populations directly.”
