Dinner

Desert was Brusters. Didn't get there last night. Very busy, everyone had the same idea.

Tried to go over to Solomons for a walk around the point. Completely forgot it was Tiki night. Made a quick u-turn under the bridge and back home.

The Foxhound and I went to Galway Bay in Annapolis for dinner tonight! We had their Corned Beef poppers and "Irish Sushi" Stuffed Cabbage Rolls (corned beef & mashed potstoes) for appetizers. FH had the Lamb Stew and I had their Reuben sandwich for dinner.

We didn't realize today was the "big Croquet game" between USNA & St John's. Downtown Annapolis was just crowded as heck - but we were seated within minutes and had our appetizers and dinner and were out in about an hour and a half. Loved it all and we will definitely be going back. :yay:

Sunday dinner for FIL tomorrow. Pork chops on the grill, twice baked potatoes, corn muffins and a huge green salad with lots of fresh veggies. Orange cake with chocolate frosting for dessert. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

We went to a noodle house, which I never ever get tired of but I think Monello has about had it. The portions were enormous, so we have breakfast for tomorrow and then some.

On the way home from Knoxville we stopped for dinner at Horne's, which both of us had been in a million times for pee break and crap shopping, but had never eaten at. It was okay, not the best burger I've ever had but not the worst, either.

I went by there twice last weekend. Never stopped.

Did you find any of that special cracker seasoning there?!

Foxhound's sister was down from PA visiting the fam this weekend, so we had her over for a late lunch-early dinner before she left to drive back home. I thought it would be fun to make homemade pizzas, because we like it so much and on the weekends we have a lot more time to get all the fixings and toppings ready. Saturday we went to Annapolis on date night and went to Whole Foods to get some of our goodies for the pizzas. We bought our pizza dough there, and it WAS HORRIBLE! It didn't rise well, and it didn't really have a lot of flavor. The pizzas all came our very flat. I was really surprised because usually everything we get there which is pre-made or pre-prepped is pretty good. Will never buy it again. But the toppings were awesome!! I made my own pizza sauce, and we had shredded and also fresh mozzarella, roasted eggplant, fresh tomato slices, sliced leftover half smokes, sliced pepperoni, sliced prosciutto, onions, red & green bell peppers, black olives, and mushrooms.

**I used to MAKE my own pizza dough, it's so easy to make and it's fresh. However, a very good friend told us about the pre-made pizza doughs he finds available at the grocery stores. They're already made and REALLY inexpensive, like under $4.00 for enough dough to make 2 -4 personal-sized pizzas, and really tasty, too. So, we've tried Giant (very good) and Nick's of Calvert (REALLY good). Now that we've tried Whole Foods and had this experience, we won't get theirs again. :boo:

I made sourdough bread Sunday and was thinking of ways to serve some with dinner tonight but when I looked this morning there were only a couple of bites left. :eyebrow:

Right now I'm leaning towards making an Indian veggie bowl.

I am so very blessed
I am making a Leek-Caramelized Onion-Goat Cheese Tart for dinner tonight, along with some spiral sliced ham. Or maybe I'll save that for tomorrow and have Jalapeno-Chicken Bombs for dinner tonight instead.
