Well, it wasn't too salty last night.Really? The only two times I have had it, it was too salty to eat and I tossed it.

Yeah. My wife tells me it's no longer a sit down restaurant. The bar is gone. It's transitioning to carry out only I guess. My wife said Kevin also has a small fresh seafood case that he's planning on expanding.
Is that the same guy that has one on route 5?
I'm wondering about the chicken at crab knockers - is that the name of the place in Leonardtown in shopping area? I heard good things about it years ago but never did make it up that way to see for myself.
I've gotten food there I don't know how many times but I never got the chicken. I know I've raved about it before, but McKay's has excellent fried chicken. You can't beat the price either. You can get a bucket (they usually have a sale price) or a 2 piece dinner with 2 sides and a roll. It's only $5.99.
There's one on Hollywood Rd between Leonardtown and Hollywood and another in the Leonardtown shopping center with Ace, next to Cedar Point FCU. I generally shop at the one on Hollywood Rd, because it's not so much a "super" market. It's good to pick up salad fixings and a nice steak when I get the urge. They're similar to Woodburn's market when it still existed. Same family, I think. You may be interested in their liquor section, as the seem to carry a lot of top shelf and exotic stuff. They have a hot/cold deli section for quick meals and comfort food.Where is McKays now?
When I get a taste for fried chicken, I'll stop by McKay's and grab an 8 piece and some of their in-house coleslaw. One of the deli guys let me taste test the Amish slaw and it tasted like ass, but their own recipe is a good compliment to the fried chicken, if you like sweet slaw. I think I have a dinner plan now!
I really like Kevin's slaw. The celery seed really makes it stand out.Their slaw is the best.

As for going back to dine in, the wife didn't get the impression that was going to happen.
I prefer slaw without the celery seeds, but to each his/her own. Mommy Dearest used to make it with them and also chopped green pepper. The only way it was fit to eat was on a crabcake or sloppy Joe.I really like Kevin's slaw. The celery seed really makes it stand out.

I got chiky, too!Guess what I stopped and bought today. Chicken, potato salad and cole slaw from McKay's. Talking about it last night made me want some.
Who are you kidding? You'll let it sit out then toss it too the cats.I thawed out chiky - I'm cooking a complete meal for a change in honor of this year long thread.
I grabbed some wings yesterday that must've been leftover from lunch. They were disappointingly dry, but I ate every last one of the dozen along with a nice salad.
