Biden Family Associate Claims June Debate Was a ‘Set-Up’ by Democratic Party: Report​

Top Democratic Party officials pushed President Joe Biden to debate former president Donald Trump in June as part of a strategy aimed at coercing the president to leave the 2024 race, the New York Post reported Monday, citing a source close to the Biden family.

“That debate was a set-up to convince Democrats that he couldn’t run for president,” the source told the Post.

That same source also alleged that party leaders threatened to push for the invocation of the 25th Amendment when Biden initially resisted calls to step aside and end his re-election campaign.

The individual close to the Biden family told the Post that Democratic Party heads had known for at least two years that the president’s health had declined.

“When I saw him a couple of years ago, it was frightening,” the unnamed source said. “He was just repeating slogans and had no idea who I was.”

Much of the reporting surrounding the fallout from Biden’s performance in the June 27 debate has dealt with questions over how much party leaders knew about the president’s condition.

“The idea of selecting the Democrat Party’s nominee because George Soros and Barack Obama and a couple of elite Democrats got in a smoke-filled room and decided to throw Joe Biden overboard — that is not how it works,” Vance said. “That is the threat to democracy, not the Republican Party.”


Vance pre-empted Biden’s announcement of his decision not to run for a second term on Sunday morning, writing in a post on X that withdrawing from the race would amount to a concession that the president is not up to the job.


“Not running for reelection would be a clear admission that President Trump was right all along about Biden not being mentally fit enough to serve as Commander-in-Chief,” Vance wrote. “There is no middle ground.”


In his first statement after Biden officially left the Democratic ticket, Vance, after describing Biden as the worst president in his lifetime, charged Harris with bearing responsibility for the administration’s failures and efforts to hide Biden’s health issues.

Democracy is Under Attack, But Not By Trump​

Joe Biden has officially withdrawn from the 2024 presidential race. Despite his persistent claims that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy and that he would be the one to defeat him, Biden's withdrawal serves as proof that it is Biden and his party who are attacking democracy, not President Trump.

Despite President Trump taking many actions in his first term that made America safer and more prosperous, Democrats have relentlessly attempted to paint him as a tyrannical threat to democracy since he announced his 2024 bid for the White House. They cite issues such as “election denialism,” the January 6th “insurrection,” alleged “attacks on reproductive rights,” and his sarcastic comment about being a dictator for just one day as evidence that he is a dictator-in-waiting and a threat to democracy. However, keeping the definition of democracy in mind, these claims are categorically untrue.

What they refer to as “election denialism” is actually a manipulation of the accurate term, which is election integrity preservation. A president takes an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. When allegations of election fraud arise, as they did after the 2020 election, the president has an obligation to ensure nothing nefarious occurred and, if it did, to seek appropriate remedies. This alleged “election denialism” ties into January 6th, where they claim Trump “incited an insurrection.” The First Amendment enumerates s the right of Americans to peacefully protest. Trump’s calls for his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard” align perfectly with the Constitution and negate the insurrection label, which is defined as “a violent uprising against an authority or government.” As for reproductive rights, Trump’s appointment of conservative justices to the Supreme Court, who went on to overturn Roe v. Wade, sending the issue of abortion law back to state governments, is by definition an act of democracy. It grants states more power than the federal government, enabling each state to enact abortion laws that best represent the wishes of their people, rather than one broad law for the entire nation. These actions are clearly democracy-preserving. Regarding Trump’s comment about being a dictator for one day, it was a clear instance of trolling, playing into the fabricated concerns that he would be a dictator by emphasizing his determination to address two issues quickly. Anyone who saw the exchange, as the Democrats certainly did, could see this.

It's the doublethink I don't understand - just three months ago, Kamala polled worse than Biden. It was understood that she was so inept, she served as insurance against assassination - or the 25th amendment. Even left-wing talk show hosts mocked her, and talk was as early as 2022 - but often SINCE then - suggesting Joe DROP HER should he choose to run again. THAT BAD.

NOW - she's the best thing since sliced bread. We're supposed to forget that until a few weeks ago, she was an unaccomplished IDIOT who managed to screw up everything she was put in charge of. Easily half of the Dems I know would shake their heads knowingly, as if to say - well at least she isn't PRESIDENT.

I don’t know of anyone whining other than the GOP, Harris was on the ticket as VP that folks voted for. Biden decides not to run, ergo Harris become the nominee.
