his jaws were locked tight that is how he kept his hold

Are you familiar with Schutzhund? Do you know how "police dogs" are trained? Do you know they are given a "release" term to let go of the perp? If they're jaws were "locked" they couldn't release the perp.

I could care less what you've seen or heard. You know, I read on here the other day that some poor soul went out to her barn to see her horse and it kicked the chit out of her and messed up her face pretty bad. I think that horse is vicious and should be shot.

That's why the owners have to be responsible (and a great many are not) and realized that they do have a dog that "can" be a problem.
But they're not going to do that. The responsible owners aren't the problem. Dip####s typically aren't responsible enough to realize they're irresponsible.

Any dog can be a biter, whether from fear, pain, whatever.
That's true, but a smaller dog won't do a lot of damage. A big dog will. If our neighbor's Yorkie gets a wild hair and decides to come after me, she would be easily fended off. Not so with a pit or a Rottie.

Me too! I think all horses should be shot because they secrete a hormone that causes brain damage in humans with prolonged contact.

Not an excuse. "Are your jaws locked? Blink once for yes, twice for no". :tap:
You are right, if he really was a trained "police" dog he would have known that. Silly me!

The love of an animal can be the greatest joy a child can have growing up and learning to care for and love an animal helps them develop into a much better adult I believe.
So true.
I love you.

How do classify? If you knowingly keep and maintain an animal that has a history of biting, well isn't that irresponsible?

There's always a chance the unforeseen will happen. Why would anyone put their own pleasure of owning a biting dog before the security of their neighbor or their own family members?

Animal owners should always protect their pets from the IDIOTS they want to bite.
Problem solved.

Opps...one of the many times...

He has seen the dog, I'm sure he can tell the difference between a pit/rot and a French poodle.

And do you have any clue how many times people have THOUGHT they were looking at pit, and it wasn't a pit...and when they are mixed, they really don't look like either.

Very hateful and uncalled for dig.

Very true, but in 99% of occasions, dogs treat people better than people treat people

Wrong. If a dog is outside and not in a contained area (i.e. fenced yard, dog pen), said dog has to be on a leash.

NOT in Maryland, we have no leash laws..
