sorry, I'm not a Christian, I was brought up Buddhist/Shintoist as my father before me and his father before me and several generations before me.

much better, now where was I? so i reckon there are two types of people thinking and feeling. thinking people prefer buddhism, feeling people prefer christianity. while christianity discourages questioning, buddhism encourages it. two seperate roads leading to the same place--peace.

Are you ignoring the arrogance and self-congratulations in your post here, or are you just missing it altogether?

I was well aware of the fact that many evangelical christians see christ as the only path to salvation when I made this thread. I was speaking to slightly more educated people.
Unbelievable. You're saying that someone has to hold your beliefs in order to be intelligent. That's just as wrong as when a fundamentalist Christian tells people they're going to hell. No matter what your religious beliefs are, other people's beliefs are none of your business.

as opposed to believing everything your pastor tells you as a self proclaimed spokesperson for god. i'm sure jesus with a cowboy hat will agree.
:duh: You obviously don't have the intelligence to fully grasp my post. Nice try though.

for your information i never claimed to be enlightened and i was not answering your post directly. don't kid yourself, there are many different kinds of intelligence just as there are different kinds of education.

i'm channeling my negative energy into something worthwhile.just think of me as Shiva, the destroyer. my war is not against evangelical christianity. it's against the kind of stupidity that can drop bombs in the name of God. thank you goodnight.

Your ignorance has brought the atheist into this forum. It appears you've fallin in to your own trap. You preach tolerance towards other religions while at the same time show a virile hatred toward Christianity and it's followers. This may have been cool in high school but it may be time to grow up. :duh:

worthwhile? Well, the only thing you did worthwhile is that you brought all the forum members who read your posts together whether we love, like or hate each other and whether we are Christians, Pagans, Buddhist, or Atheist agsinst you.

And you're creating negative energy.

Ok Dazed...can you explain something then...just for the sake of intelligent discussion. If Christ was a moralist, good teacher & debater---and he is credited by the Hindus/Buddhists as such...He must of had a serious psychological problem when he claims that "I and the Father are One"...that along with "The Son of Man" claims that drove the pharisees to tear their clothes and gather stones causes a serious problem with the veracity of his teachings...doesn't it? How can people claim to admire someone who makes such bizarre claims and urge his followers to go to their deaths teaching the same thing?

Is it possible Gandhi just didn't think things through enough???

That won't work with him Hessian. I've seen quotes like that debated before. It's a matter of faith that you believe in that quote as factual word and you can't by definition prove faith beyond a shadow of a doubt. It's a lost cause with him. He's ignorant.

one more time, jesus with a cowboy hat. not christianity, the mindset the fears anything different from what you are used to. the stupidity that kills in that name of god.
