that has FAILED Time After Time After Time .....

EVERYONE Knew X Shooter was Crazy hell the kid in Buffalo had been in for mental evaluation
And I said that in my opinion, is impossible. Especially if you take the approach the Dems insist on taking - universally disarm everyone in the country.

One more observation:

When I called Chelsea Handler a skank, Twitter was on me within seconds saying I was restricted and had to delete the post to get reinstated. So if they can patrol name calling of their little girlfriend, why can't they find these people who are making violent statements and threats?

A couple years back, my son was being taunted at school. Now he does have a mental disability but he's never violent, not even toward insects.

He shouted back I'm gonna shoot you.

Within a short time, the resource person was with him, I got phone calls and emails. They wanted to know if I had guns he could get to. I told them we don't even have TOY guns, much less a real one. He was just mad. Despite the pretense of stopping bullying, it goes on without stopping. Nothing hurts him so much as being called stupid.

So the front door is the only entrance to get in a school?

How about this, one pulls into Dent Elementary and parks next to the cafeteria kitchen and walks into the normally propped open door?
Or waits until one of the kitchen staff or custodians walks out to smoke?
Walk in the door when some kids are walking out back for recess... Bang. Bang.Bang...
Your now in any school.
Its not that tough to get in.
How about we put wackadoodles back in the State Mental Institutions like when most of us were kids.

I will say, having open, unwatched doors into a school IS a problem.

The "door" to a school needs to be further out from the perimeter. Because if you're just watching THE DOOR, when it's breached it's too late.

'Let’s rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything': Parents frustrated with 'unprepared' police outside Texas massacre school debated storming the building THEMSELVES while gunman was holed up inside for 90 minutes

  • Footage has emerged showing the panic-stricken parents of the Texas schoolchildren screaming at law enforcement to enter the school
  • It was unclear whether the footage was shot during the shooting, or after the event when the gunman was already dead
  • Questions are being asked as to why it took 90 minutes between the first 911 call and the gunman being shot dead
  • It also emerged on Wednesday night that the authorities had to find a key to get inside the room where the gunman was barricaded with the children
  • Jacinto Cazares's daughter Jacklyn was among the 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde shot dead Tuesday by Salvador Ramos, 18
  • Cazares wants answers as to why the first 911 call came at 11:32am, and yet Ramos was not shot dead until 1pm
  • One man who lives opposite the school said that a woman was yelling at the police: 'Go in there!' - but they did not
  • The school had armed security, yet Ramos was still able to get in: multiple officers were shot by Ramos, who was wearing body armor without plates
  • The city of Uvalde is 80 miles west of San Antonio and the same distance from the border with Mexico: Border Agents were among those who responded
  • Texas's director of the department of public safety said: 'Obviously, this is situation we failed in the sense that we didn't prevent this mass attack'
  • He added: 'But I can tell you those officers that arrived on the scene and put their lives in danger — they saved other kids. They kept him pinned down'

So children in todays society should grow up being educated inside of fortresses?
How do they unwind for outside recess? What about back and forth on school buses?
Is this the society that America wants?
How about we handle the wackadoodles at the first signs of acting wackadoodle.
Its always the "Oh Sh!t" we should have done something a few years ago when he was burning the hair off the neighbors cat. Just like the crackhead burglar that been arrested for the 11th time and is still a free man. Lock these Fing people up,
Maybe we should change some laws and deal with crazy like we did before the Reagan administration? Along with stopping family doctors from prescribing anti psychic drugs to kids and young adults. Leave that to the mental health doctors, when one is prescribed theses drugs you are instantly red flagged to pass a nics check.
Its not like we had this problem in the 60's and 70's when I was in school.
We had public and private nut houses. Act like a nut at any age, one should instantly be treated like a nut...

That's what is missing these days.

Insane behavior has gone from being a treated as a mental disorder to a useful voting block.

11:32 a.m.: The gunman went toward the west side of the campus, which is a back door, but as he was approaching the door, a Uvalde Independent School District police officer attempted to confront the gunman him, McCraw said.

Ramos shot the school district officer, authorities said.

At one point, students heard banging on a window before their teacher saw the shooter with a "big gun," a fourth-grade student who was inside the school at the time said in an interview with ABC News, describing the "nonstop" gunshots that followed.

After Ramos entered the school through a back door, he went into a classroom that was connected internally to a second classroom and began shooting, authorities said

Unlocked back door. If this officer was armed, how was an untrained 18 year old able to take him? I could see if he surprised him with a pistol, but the young man had two AR-15s, not surprising anyone with those...

And of course the whole gotta wait for keys thing. Like Pulse, this looks to be some really bad headwork where LE sits while slaughter happens.

YAAAAAS! Bring back the vigilantes! Hysterical bystanders always know better than cops - they should totally be in charge of shooter situations.

There should be simulation experiences, like an escape room, where armchair hindsight quarterbacks can go into various dangerous situations and be the hero. People like you and Gurps can simulate an active shooter situation and try to disarm the suspect without getting shot yourself.

The most exciting part?

Live ammo.

No ****ing around. If you screw up, you're dead. Pay your $50 and see what ya got. :yay: Maybe that will be my next business venture. As many people who think they can do a better job than cops or military personnel in a volatile situation, I should make a fortune.

We live in a time where voting for Republicans is considered insane dangerous predatory behavior by half this country.

I dislike pointing out the obvious, but there it is.

No disarm, just shoot. I understand there are questionable times to shoot not shoot. I cant imagine one where a person behind a school with two AR-15s means stop and think about it. Cops can and do make mistakes. And the answer when they do so isn't to just say "Well, you couldn't do better so STFU". Its to see where that mistake was made so you don't make it again.

No disarm, just shoot.

That right there gets you famous in the news cycle and having the social media rabble terrorizing your family while you sit in a cell awaiting the decision of a jury of your peers.

Have you not been consuming news for the last 5-10 years? How do you not understand just how hamstrung cops are in this country when it comes to dealing with criminals?

Had some cop shot that kid BEFORE he killed anyone.....can you even imagine the outrage? Of course you can - we've seen it numerous times. Democrats, dope smoking libertarians, and other nancies have decreed that criminals MUST kill someone, preferably several someones, before cops or anyone else can act against them.

Did you not see the coverage of the cop who shot and killed that girl who was actively trying to knife another girl? How the Democrats wrung their hands and keened in the streets that he didn't have to shoot her, he could have fired a warning shot or (from Joe Biden) shot her in the leg? It was all "OMG another cop shooting a black teenager!!!"

No doubt all cops have that in the back of their mind every day when they put on their uniform.

If they did it would have been a white guy who was an NRA member and registered Republican. More bang for the buck.
Most of us can't even fathom the level of evil that it takes to set something like this is motion. The only reason it occurs to us is that we've been out in the world and we know that people can indeed be this rotten in their cores. There are no depths of depravity to which they will not stoop in their quest to further their goals.

That quote by Sun Tzu has been a recurring theme for me, lately, which is (paraphrased) "they will burn down the kingdom in order to rule over the ashes."
